Hello all,
As I was thinking back to this time last year, I realized that I hit my highest weight last year on Jan 5th 2007 at 290 lbs. Today I stand at 259.8 lbs. Which got me thinking. Many of us have gone through many diets and many of us have also gained back all the previous weight we lost. What was your lifetime highest weight, and where do you stand today?

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

My lifetime highest (recorded) weight was 297, last September, at over 52% BF (i didn't measure until first week in November, which was about 52%).
ouch.
Today, I'm at 264 and less than 42% BF. Not very impressive, but talk to me in September of this year ;)

Mid-October of last year I was at 250 pounds. I have no idea what my body fat percentage was though. I just knew I needed to lose weight (my doctor tactfully called me fat and told me to get the weight off).
Today, I stand (or sit as I type this, lol) at 234.8. Not a lot of progress considering how much I have to lose, but I'm happy with it so far. I've learned a lot and am finding different ways of incorporating this knowledge into my journey.
I plan to be AT LEAST 30 pounds lighter by June.

I'm a plant enthusiast dedicated to eating whole, fresh foods. As for exercise, I regularly participate in: swimming, water aerobics, yoga, the elliptical machine, the stair stepper, running, and weight training. I try to switch up my routine a lot so that I don't get bored. My biggest obstacle to weight loss is eating when I'm lonely or sad, but I've started keeping a list on my fridge of other things I can do to occupy my time. So far it's really been helping!
Aside from health and fitness, I was married in December 2007 and am enjoying being married and decorating our apartment. I am currently finishing my last semester as an undergraduate, and hope to begin an English MA program Fall 2009. I love reading, quilting, cooking, hiking, swimming, decorating, gardening, and striving to protect the environment. I'm also really pleased that Barack Obama is going to be our next president.
Let me know if you need a motivator! Good luck in your health and fitness efforts!

I was 235 in the beginning of my senior year in high school and graduated at 175. I went to college and actually lost more weight my freshmen year and my lowest weight I was 162. The I found that I really enjoyed beer and slowly over 8 years I got back up to around 215 when I decided I better get back under 200 and now I'm maintaining between 175 and 180.

I'm 23, and a Software Engineer in California, US. I've been mildly overweight most of my life (reached a whopping 215 lbs when I was in college last year).
After graduating college I decided to let go of the DELICIOUS cheese burritos and start adopting a healthier diet. New diet consisted of more fish and less red meat and less fast food. Within 8 months my weight dropped to 185 lbs with very little physical activity (once a week racquetball).
Couple months ago I checked my body fat percentage on my brother's bio-electrical impedance weight scale and saw that I had 22% BF!! I'm sure I lost a lot of muscle mass during my low protein diet.
ARRRRGGHH.. New goal: Get "cut" (Bruce Lee), I'm planning on dropping my body fat to 12%, and at the same time build muscle definition. I have average "genetics", so I won't be able to build muscle and lose weight at the same time. The next few months (3-4) I'm going to focus on lowering my body fat, and then focus on building muscle.
That said, the last four weeks I focused on building a little bit of upper body muscles (abdomen, chest, triceps) since muscles burn calories AND it was relatively easy for me to gain a little bit of muscle. A month ago I started with 15 lbs dumbbell for flat chest press, and now I can do same reps x sets with 30 lbs dumbbells.
Weekday schedule:
08:00- Saad wakes up :-) 08:30- Drink BOOST High Protein Shake (6g fat/ 33 g carbs (16g sugar) / 15 g protein) 09:00- At gym. Begin 5 minute stair master to warm up. 09:10- Weight Training: 10x3 30 lbs Dumbbell Flat Bench Press 10x3 40 lbs Dumbbell Shrug 10x3 12 lbs Side Dumbbell Lateral Raise 10x3 7 0lbs Chest Fly (Machine) 10x3 130 lbs Abdomen Sit-up (machine)
09:30- 30 Minutes Intense Running on Treadmill OR 30 minutes of elliptical (alternating days)
10:05- 35 Sit-ups on decline bench.
10:15- 100% Whey Protein powder l-Glutamine. Add whole bottle of Gatordate to my shaker bottle, shake, and enjoy. Total Nutritional Value: 40g Protein / 45g carbs (40g sugar) / 0g fat / 7g l-Glutamine
11:30- 5g L-Glutamine 12:20- Gyro sandwich. 03:00- 1 Apple 05:00- 1 Orange 08:30- Decent dinner
I usually drink equivalent of about 8 bottles of water throughout the day.
Following this schedule 4days/week, 1 day/week I play racquetball, and the other two days I don't do any exercises.
Results over the past four weeks:
Body Fat Percentage at 18% (decreased 2%) and body weight dropped to 173 lbs. These numbers fluctuate a lot (even on a daily basis), but at least I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life.
I'm looking for a motivator who preferably knows about nutrition weight training and can help me achieve my goals. Of course, friendly comments/tips on my progress are always appreciated from ANYONE :-)

I've gotten down to 157 before. Let's see, well, I never really kept track of weight in HS, but at some point when I went of to college, I got up to like 180, then fall/winter 04 I got down to about 160, Christmas screwed me up a little and I kinda was slowly going up until the next fall (05), I moved in with my little sister. Cookies or ice cream or brownies were always right there freshly baked and in front of me so I found myself back up at my highest weight ever of 189 after Christmas break. Then it dawned on me that I was going to be a fat bride - my husband and I had already been dating for 3 years and we had talked plenty of times about getting married as soon as I graduated. Also I was going to be in my best friend's wedding that summer so I got down to 175 in time for her wedding June 3, 2006 and continued doing well until my wedding June 1, 2007. I got down to 157 a few weeks before that and was at 160ish for the wedding. I was so confident in my wedding dress and in my bikinis in Aruba. It was wonderful, but it didn't last long. It makes me a little sad just to think about it really because I have managed to get almost back to my max weight in only 7 months. Like I've said before, I was just so happy to not have to worry about it any more - to be able to eat a cookie or a whole plate full of food without feeling guilty. So now I'm trying to lose the weight again, hopefully it won't take a year and a half this time. And hopefully I'll be able to keep it off.
Sorry this post is so crazy long

In 1991, I graduated from college at 115lbs and about 8% body fat. I was far from athletic -- just very skinny.
The worst shape I've been in was 145lbs at 28% or 29% body fat, in 2001. That same year, I became a regular gym goer.
I'm currently close to my heaviest ever, 190 lbs, but around 17% BF. My best body comp was roughly this same time last year when I was 175lbs and 12% or 13% BF.

My highest weight was 245 lbs when I was in my mid-twenties. I dropped 30 pounds and have hovered between 215/220 for the past 10 years. I did go on a crazy crash diet when I was 30 and drooped down to 159, but gained it all back in 2 years. I am at my lowest weight since then--203.

My high was the same as yours, Monique, at 218. At least, that's the highest I actually saw on the scale. I know I was more, but I started working out for a couple months before I dared step on the thing. So my all-time high is a bit of a mystery, but we'll go with 218 with a body fat of 40%. That's high enough.
Today I'm 189, which is about where I've been hovering for months, but the big change is going from 33% body fat to 27% with no change in weight. I'm surprisingly happy about it.

the most i've weighed is around 320 lbs.
today i'm somewhere in between 250-255 lbs (we all know how weight fluctuates).
i graduated from high school almost 7 years ago and i now weigh as much as i did when i played high school football.
although i'm bigger than most of my friends, it is kinda cool knowing that they all weigh more now than they did in high school.
it's also awesome to see that i only weight about ten pounds more than the weight on my drivers license (i was around 245 when i was 16, i'm 25 now)

Last October I weighed in at 218lbs. I was surprised to see that I was nearly 20lbs over 200 lbs. (I always told people I weighed 195, I never knew I had crossed over the 200lb mark)
Since October I have been working out fairly hard almost daily and attempting to eat better (I still struggle with this), and I am now down to 189lbs.
I used to have lower back pain, and an extreme lack of energy. It is crazy what 25lbs can do to you. I never thought I would feel as good as I do now from just losing 25lbs, so now I am interested in seeing how I will feel when I lose another 20-25lbs!

lowest/current weight -135
down 105 pounds (no surgery)
highest body fat recorded was when i was in the 170s - 44%
(done by dexa-same method they use to do bone density-equivalent to underwater weighing). if bodyfat was 44% in 170s imagine what it was at 240? ughhh.
next week im having body fat measured by skin calipers.
