Hi everyone. I'm new here. I've always been a bit overweight and have recently started doing something about it.

I'm going to see how much weight I can lose in three weeks. Starting out I'm about 200lbs. Does anyone have suggestions for what exercise routines to use? As far as diet goes I am just going to really limit the crappy foods I eat, drink lots of water and not get more than the recommended intake of anything.

I usually just run on a treadmill or do some weightlifting. In the last week I surprised myself and ran 6 miles twice, I'd never even tried it before. Well, any suggestions you have I will seriously consider; the goal is maximum fat loss in three weeks.

Well what are you interested in? If you're running and lifting weights that's a great start. The best exercise is the one you enjoy and will stick to. If you're going to improve your diet and continue to exercise you should see results.

Welcome Dan. Sounds like you're off to a great start already. I would check out the websites splint suggested for reference information to help yourself out a bit. Keep us updated

Welcome! It sounds like you've pretty much got it under control. If you are just interested in 3 weeks and weight loss then cardio is the way to go - it burns the most calories.
