:Hi Everyone
I'm Vita and new to the community. I'm a 40 yr old workaholic that needs to lose another 45lbs before reaching my goal.
I am currently working out each morning, 6 days a week, 20-25 min. cardio (elliptical or treadmill)-doing interval training and sometimes circuit training. The balance of my workout time is dedicated to weight training on a different muscle group. I eat approx. 1000-1400 cals. per day just depends.
I recently lost about 30lbs and droped to dress sizes, but have reached the dreaded plateau! Can anyone give me any advice on what to do?

Continue getting up early for boot camp
Heavy Strength Training 1x/wk
Drink at least 1000ml water 5 out of 7 days
Avoid crummy foods at least 3 days
Goals Last Week:
Watch the Penguins beat the Flyers in the playoffs!!! - COMPLETE!!!!!
Continue getting up early for boot camp - COMPLETE, almost didn't make it 5/23 though
Do the 1 mile test run in under 10 min. - DONE IN 10:10, close!
Heavy Strength Training 1x/wk - Not this week :(
Drink at least 1000ml water a day - Only 4 out of 7 days, and still no excuse
May Goals:
Run whole Race for the Cure 5K - COMPLETE!
Boot Camp for 4 weeks starting 5/12
Get out of the "obese" range on the BMI chart (185.5)
Upcoming:
Son's graduation in June (lots of family and friends visiting)
10K in September 2008

Congrats on your success so far!
I would suggest boosting your calories. You're eating very few for all that you're doing. Make sure your interval training has you really pushing hard too. As you get more fit, your body gets more efficient, so you have to push harder to get results. Watch your stress levels too. If you're working too hard, stress hormones can keep you from losing weight.
Good luck on breaking through that plateau!

HEY! I'm from Texas too, and I just started on this website too! hows it going? anyhoo, jus wanted to say hi and keep at it, cuz it will get better, maybe try working out a few minutes longer? Just keep at it!
