My name is Ashley and I am here to get motivated to lose the last bit of lbs hanging on. I went through some health problems and a surgery and put on almost 30 lbs. I finally got the motivation to kick the last 15 lbs!

New to Traineo. I signed up a few days ago and so far it is great! I have already lost 15 of the lbs that I gained and had 15 to go when I signed up. I have already dropped 2 lbs.
I have been sticking to a healthy diet and trying not to take in more than about 1460 calories a day. I cut out Soda and sweets and have tried to cut out extremely fatty foods and lower my sodium intake ( I love salt!). I have also slowing started moving back into a work out routine. I try to do cardio atleast everyother day and throw in some strength training too. So far I am feeling a lot better and dont seem to be as tired through out the day.
I look forward to being part of this community and hopefully bringing good advice and motivation for others too!

Hi! I'm a 44 year-old slightly overweight male looking to loose 30lbs by the end of year. For me, weight loss is just one part of an overall plan for living a healthier lifestyle (as healthy a lifestyle as possible!) In addition to diet and exercise, other elements of my healthy way of life include good sleep, proper hydration, kicking the (smoking) habit, meditation, and disease management (I have rheumatoid arthritis).
I signed up at Traineo because maintaining routines has always been difficult for me. 3 years ago however, after many tries, I was finally able to maintain an exercise routine for a period of 6 months with outstanding results. I then stopped working out so I'd have more time for other things and 3 months later the RA got worse. Since then I've been unable to motivate myself back into the gym.
Well, my motivation is back, due in part to Traineo. I think having a few motivators will be a great help. Also, posting my efforts on the Internet, for the whole world to see, may help to keep me on my toes. I'm not entirely sure about that yet so I may change my profile so only Traineo members can see it.
I'm strong willed, but most of all I crave the results I achieved 3 years ago. So I'm determined, and thus far my spirits remain high. I sure am glad you stopped to read about me and great luck with your own efforts! Cheers!

I am 3 years into my 6 year plan! Gave myself plenty of time to be FIT BY AGE 40. So for the last 3 years I have working working on my diet and fitness habits. I ebb and flow with commitment, but overall I am acheiving better lifestyle habits with portion control. more veggies and increasing activity.

Hello Ashley I just signed up a few days ago too. I have friends who are supporting me but I also wanted some on-line anytime support friends. I been working on my eating and fitness habits for a three years now. So far I have lost 20 lbs, but I want that 20 to bring to my ultimate goal.

You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what's a life, anyway? We're born, we live a little while, we die. A spider's life can't help being something of a mess, with all this trapping and eating flies. By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone's life can stand a little of that.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
Tell me not, in mournful numbers, Life is but an empty dream! For the soul is dead that slumbers, and things are not what they seem. Life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal; Dust thou art; to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul.
Jean-Paul Sartre:
Everything has been figured out, except how to live.
