I've lost 45 pounds so far, and I've got 35 to go. I'm starting to feel my motivation slip though, and I could really use some help!
I fell off the horse and gained weight over the holidays and a trip to Europe, but it's far too close to summer and I just can't hack another bathing suit season trying to keep myself covered up.
I have to lose this weight!

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to find a group of people with a similar goal to help motivate each other. To be honest, I have no idea if this will work, I just feel like making my goal public (even if it's only to the internet), will make me more accountable for my diet and exercise. I've got my first real vacation in approximately 5 months, and I'd really love to reach my goal by then!

Hey Steph,
I just tuned in and saw your post. I have to admit, judging by your photo you are already hot!! so where is 35lbs gonna come from?
Traineo is a really good site though, and as long as you tune in regular and use the resource to its full potential, there is no doubt that you can achieve what you are looking for. So remove the doubt, and the maybe I'll give it a go, and get stuck in!!
We're all rooting for you to be what you want to be!!!

Steph,
I'm in the same boat (pun intended, my vacation is taking me on a hawaiian cruise, haha). My goal is to lose 25 pounds, and I joined Traineo last week purely for the support that other people give. I hope you find it as enjoyable and motivational as I have. Best of luck!

Steph,
You can do it! I joined Traineo last December, and I'm right around the 35-pound mark now. I've still got almost as far to go, but those stubborn old pounds will come off if you just keep working at it.

Hi! I'm a 44 year-old slightly overweight male looking to loose 30lbs by the end of year. For me, weight loss is just one part of an overall plan for living a healthier lifestyle (as healthy a lifestyle as possible!) In addition to diet and exercise, other elements of my healthy way of life include good sleep, proper hydration, kicking the (smoking) habit, meditation, and disease management (I have rheumatoid arthritis).
I signed up at Traineo because maintaining routines has always been difficult for me. 3 years ago however, after many tries, I was finally able to maintain an exercise routine for a period of 6 months with outstanding results. I then stopped working out so I'd have more time for other things and 3 months later the RA got worse. Since then I've been unable to motivate myself back into the gym.
Well, my motivation is back, due in part to Traineo. I think having a few motivators will be a great help. Also, posting my efforts on the Internet, for the whole world to see, may help to keep me on my toes. I'm not entirely sure about that yet so I may change my profile so only Traineo members can see it.
I'm strong willed, but most of all I crave the results I achieved 3 years ago. So I'm determined, and thus far my spirits remain high. I sure am glad you stopped to read about me and great luck with your own efforts! Cheers!

We just got a Wii, and I am so excited to use it! I was also on Amy Mac's Holiday Weight Loss program last year, and am excited to say that some of the weight that I lost last year is still off, and am going to do more of the same this uear.
I love to cook, and am having a good time finding meals that are great tasting, and fairly lower in calories than what I was eating before.
I am having the best time here! Thank you all for your support and encouragement!

After a semi-succssful attempt in the fall, I fell into the trap of the holidays. Fear not, I have since then gained some extra lbs, and joined a gym in my attempts to do the unthinkable...lose an eye popping 41 pounds! Good news is, I'm caught up on bills, found ways to make some financial cuts, and believe I will be able to better maintain a healthier diet and workout regimen. Lets roll with it!

Steph, let me tell you. Maybe I am just weird, but exercise has always been something I get bored of. After joining Traineo, I've found myself being addicted to getting out and doing some workouts, just so i can punch it out on my traineo page to see how im doing. Another lil suggestion I;ve found is, don't over monitor your weight, youll go nuts, once ..maybe twice a week and then punch those numbers in...doing these things in addition to standard diet stuff has kept me on the right path so far!
You'll be gold! You're over half way there! Keep it UP!

About me: --------------------------- I'm an architecture student at a great school.
After trial and error, managed to shed the pounds for real.
What I'm doing: --------------------------- Portion control still a problem. HIIT 2x/week Starting weights 1x/week
I take stairs over escalator and elevator ALL THE TIME (I climb 6 sets of stairs minimum for the day at the metro 2-3floors?).
Extra note: --------------------------- I finally understand what being fit means! And I actually love running now thanks to HIIT.
Goal: lose the belly fat! My problem area. First goal: 120lbs - MET 2nd goal: 116lbs - MET 3rd goal: 112lbs ish with more muscle definition
Realizing I can't change the way my body stores fat and have a noticeable belly during the day (pic was morning with light breakfast after workout) I will work on making a stronger core to counter the pooch a bit
Dropped 1 pant size since last year (stable weight) Dropped 2 pant sizes since mid-Summer after Greece (pastries=weight gain)

I know what you mean Neal. Every time I wake up and tell myself to workout (wednesday and friday mornings), it's a pain in the butt. Then I go out there and kick butt.
Come back and before rushing to the shower to catch my bus, I punch in those numbers and it feels oh so good. I just stare at the screen for a good few minutes just cuz it's so satisfying.
And the weekly weigh ins, I agree. My friend joined recently and she weighs herself everday (I think) and I'm motivating her and I started checking my weight everday too, which isn't good cuz I was doing better with weekly results. If you work hard, the scale should and hopefully goes down. Satisfying to see a jump!

I want to wear a bathing suit next summer!! I got up to 182 and decided to do something. My new man is a runner, and has me hooked on it with the Nike . I started walking/running intervals recently, and set a goal for myself of 80 miles in the next 12 weeks. Together with a healthier diet, I'm hoping to watch the weight melt off like it already has begun to!

Right there with ya girl! I want to lose 35 as well. It's do-able. I'm a walking weight watchers commercial. I started it 2 weeks ago, and combined with 30 hours of cardio a day, I've lost 8 pounds. Hopefully I'll stay on that track! Let me know if you need any motivation.

Hi Steph
I started gym last February, gave up smoking and went on a diet, all at the same time. My motivation was to get fit, lose weight and look better for my holiday (vacation if ur outside the UK) in May. I worked hard and lost 36lbs in those 4 months. My holiday to the Greek Islands was my motivation.
While away I put 7 lbs back on Then another 8lbs since. I am still 21 lbs lighter than 9 months ago but still need to lose about 24 lbs.
My motivation now is my holiday I have booked for next year to the Caribbean. I wanna look good for that so that is my next motivation.
Looking good on the beach is my motivation, and my point is that nything can be your motivator. Maybe there's a guy you like who you wanna impress by looking good. A dress you would like to fit into. Feeling more positive about yourself. Feeling thinner.
These are ALL motivators. It's whatever works for you. Think of something and make that your goal. Always have it in the back of your mind, but DONT obsess!! Then you will find you will get to where you want to be.
Good luck.

My motto that I live by is "don't wait for your ship to come in...swim out to it" I have always had the belief that what hurts you makes you stronger, but as of latley it has been harder to keep the positive attitude...so I am hoping to get a little motivation from others :)

Hey Steph, I am certain you can do it. Just stay focused and positive. I have found this website very addicting. If you need any help or have questions feel free to ask
