You say you don't feel much like moving when you get home from work? Then may I suggest morning workouts? They set the tone for the day, charge your metabolism and the best part is, your exercise is CHECKED OFF so you can return home at night with a sense of accomplishment and the right to kick back and do, (but not eat ; ), what you like.
If knowledge is needed, bone up on nutrition and think about purchasing a heartrate monitor, (if you don't have one already), so you can be sure to make the very most of your workout time.
