My name is Rich, and I'm from California in the U.S.

My wrist is broken so my posts will be short. Takes forever to type anything.

I started losing weight (workout, eating healthier, etc.) when I got to >300lbs. I've lost ~80lbs in the past year or so, and the weight isn't melting off as fast as it used to. I'm starting to count calories and I try to work out 5 times a week.

I am going to try to consume ~1800 calories a day.

Current weight: ~215
Target weight : ~180 by 1-1-08. After that I will probably want to lean out.

You don't have that much to lose, I'm sure you will make it.

What I learned and works for me is eating a fruit every 2 hours to keep my metabolism going. What's funny is eating a lot makes you lose weight (the RIGHT foods, no McDonalds) because it tells your body it doesn't need the excess fat, that you have plenty of food so it burns it off.

If I may suggest, you should run for 30min-1hr daily (on top of your workouts). In my opinion, running/jogging with HIIT is the best cardio workout. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks dude. I tend to keep lots of fruit around, as well as granola bars and stuff. Shouldn't be much of a problem there.

I'll definitely try to throw in some HIIT stuff a few times a week.

Rich, sounds like what you're doing is quite effective. If you add HITT to your routine, I'm sure you'll keep making gains.

By the way, has anyone ever called your Mr. Badass?
