Hi Traineo members,
I've been busy putting my two penny worth on other peoples discussions and forgot to introduce myself.
I work as a Health and Fitness Coach in England and work with all manner of clients striving to achieve their goals. My main focus is on the mindset initially, then following progress in that area the barriers just melt away. I call my business 'Way of the Warrior' as I take a lot of inspiration from various authors, eastern philosophy, martial arts and ancient cultures. To me the 'Warrior' is a mindset.
My personal goals are varied as I am always excited about getting out into the outdoors and just feeling alive in the fresh air. Therefore my training time is just a chance for me to use myself as a guinea-pig as I study and research as much as I can then practice techniques in order to pass them on through my experience rather than from a text book.
The more I train and the more I learn, the more I realise there is to learn and I am humbled by some of the great coaches and trainers I have been in contact with at various levels. I also learn a great deal from the likes of yourself who are out there in the gym day after day putting theory into action and proving what does and doesn't work.
I am keen to share what I know, and even more excited about learning what you know.
Keep up the intensity
Dean

I am always out doing something fun. I play Hockey, Racquetball and Paintball to keep me busy. I have been spending a good amount of time at the gym. I hope to keep on doing what I do and reach my goal!

Hello! My name is Iris. I'm a 28-yr-old mother to 2 beautiful little girls. I started my weight loss journey August 2006 at 200 lbs. And this September (2007), I am now down to 127 lbs. I am very proud of myself.
I haven't been on Traineo in months. I was only on for a short period of time, and then lost internet connection for a little while, and then couldn't remember my username and password LOL. But now I'm back. I'd like to work on becoming a little more lean, maybe getting down to 120 lbs. Most of all I want to work on my stomache. So, starting tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 20, I'm going back to keeping a written food/exercise/feelings journal.
Things I've done to get where I am today....I quit drinking sodas cold turkey, I cut way back on junk food, and I read the nutrition labels. I only eat the serving size. I only drink water and lots of it. I keep count of the calories going in and the calories I'm burning. I workout at the gym 4-6 days a week. And actually....I now work at a ladies fitness gym (since March 2007) and I'm working on getting cetified as a personal trainer. I love to tell my story and motivate others. It feels great and I just LOVE my job. I've taught one aerobic class on a whim to feel in for someone and may be teaching my own class by the end of 2007 or beginning of 2008.
I find ways to motivate myself daily. I can never have enough! So I'm here, LOL But really and truly, I'd love to support and motivate anyone who needs it.

Hi Dean.
I really like your "Way of The Warrior" business attitude. I work in the fitness industry, too, and agree with your way of thinking. I've come a long way, personally, with my own weight loss journey. And I promise you that I have surprised many people along the way. I get questions about HOW I DID IT and WHAT ONE THING CAN THEY DO TO ACHIEVE THE SAME RESULTS. Many people don't realize that everyone's genes are programmed differently and what works for one person will not work for another. That's why it's important to research fitness and nutrition and try different things....eventually....if you're a determined person, you'll find what works for you and blow people's minds. That's my personal opinion and tried and true by myself. Now I want to help others. It's great to have you here. I look forward to getting to know you better, Dean.
