Hi! I'm Tiffany. I'm a newbie here, of course.

I'm here to reverse the effects of my overeating.

It's been such a problem, and my family is getting worried. I haven't had my doctor check my body fat percentage though I'm not really excited about it.

A couple of weeks ago, I went on vacation to Texas. I ate too much sugar and fat, and I didn't exercise at all during that time period. The result? A gain of six pounds. I'm scared I'll keep slacking off and start to gain even more.

Hi Tiffany,

You made a very big step by placing this post and you are already halfway to achieving your goals whether you realise it or not.

There are many things that you can do but if I were in your position (and one way or another we all have been) I would definitely start by writing things down. Decide what you want to achieve and list why you want to achieve it. Then I would keep a journal logging your daily activities (food/exercise) and linking them back to your goal so you can follow your progress and keep yourself on track. Don't be hard on yourself, as this is a gradual process and some days will always be better / worse than others. Don't judge yourself, just work with yourself because you have everything you need to achieve everything you have ever desired. It is as simple as that.

Another exercise that may be interesting would be to write down all of the reasons, or positive effects eating sugar and fat has on you and why you like to eat it (if it didn't benefit you in some way you wouldn't eat it so explore this). Then begin to explore how you could achieve these benefits without consuming excess fat and sugar. You may be surprised with what you will find if you really think about it.

Good luck, and feel free to get in contact if I can assist you in any way

Dean
