Hi all, my name's Dave and I had had great success with tobacco cessation using an online support community. So great that I've gained 15 pounds and was overweight to start with.
I started running last week. My biggest weight loss obstacle has always been motivation. I'm more easily motivated to exercise than I am to eat more sensibly; but I still have troubles with both.
Anyway, I need to take off 35-40 pounds to get back into a healthy place.

one change at a time. if you develop one healthy habit a month, eventually it'll accumulate to a healthy lifestyle. no better place to start than exercising. healthy eating is a lot of different factors, but exercising is a lot simpler. lift weights and start running/walking.

i'm in a similar boat. it's much easier to get psyched about an intense workout than to think about all the changes i need to make to my diet.

welcome aboard and good luck!
