No one says I am fat, nor do I believe I am, but the way my daily diet is taking me I will be by the time I am 30. So, it's time for a change.

There are many reasons for this change, first reason is above. Another reason is I don't have much to do this summer, and when I am busy with school and things I don't have time to keep track of my weight and my caloric intake each day. My boyfriend is away, so theirs no ice cream or movie with popcorn dates to set me off track - or times when I'm too busy spending time with him to eat and then I binge later . . . it's the perfect time to drop those 8 pounds and get healthy.

My name's Jennifer, I am sixteen, but I am looking to change my way of life according to food and exercise. If anyone wants to be a motivator or contact feel free to add me, I'm welcoming to getitng help and giving help to everyone and anyone.

Im new to posting on here but ive lurked for a month or so and im getting brave now,

Hi Jennifer and welcome!! It's great to see that you're making positive changes in your attitude towards your health at a young age.

I have been told that I am fat. And I do believe that I am fat, in fact I am technically obese! I think it's funny that the last time I went to the doctor he did everything within his power to not say that word. He didn't mention anything about altering diet or exercise.

Well, anyway ... all things considered ... I AM taking the steps to get my weight and my health under control. I just wish I would have taken a more active interest in it a long time ago like you're doing. So your efforts should be applauded!

My weight has been up and down since I was 10. A while ago I was an overweight child, but because of diesease I lost the fat over one summer (my weight stayed almost the same, but I was much taller). I was also very ill last year and lost a good 15 pounds, and though I am not planning on losing that much, I would like to shed the extra fat I posses. But this is mainly about my health, keeping my immune system and body in shape for the future.
I definitly do not need to be sick while I am in University, which is only a few years away.
