Tummy took a beating carrying twins... didn't help that I started out over-weight...
So... finally getting enough sleep that I can work out... I really need to take the time to get MY food sorted out... and not eat out of boredom or stress...
Soooooo.... Hello from California! I'm excited to be here!

I'm tracking my food on The Daily Plate.com, and following Dr. Peter Miller's Binge Breaker! program. Horrible name, but very sensible and down to earth approach.
I have never given up hope that i can reach my goal. But I did realize that I need to address some issues before I can do that.
I will not be around much, but hey, maybe I'll be back someday.

Hi,
I have the same story as you. I was 193 lbs when I got pregnant with my twin boys. I have lost about 39 lbs, but would still like to lose about 15 more.
I will say, probably especially because I am in my 40s, my tummy is not recovering all that well. It has a lot to do with having a C-section, though. I use an "ab chair" exerciser and my stomach actually looks fairly defined, but just at the bottom where it stuck out the most is a problem area. Oh well!
Good luck; this is an excellent place to get support, information, and ideas!

Cariad... No problem... hope you figure out the problem and that it an easy fix... well as easy as it can be..
Lisa... thanks to you too... I weighed 165 when I got PG... which was pretty heavy for me... I gained 40lbs during my pg... lost 30 in the first week... and have been holding on to that 10... so My first goal is to get to 165... THEN... to lose more fat... I'll hold judgement of my stomach appearance until then...

On the left, we have the current virtual "Jem", and on the right, the virtual "New Jem" at target weight! Hope I can make it happen! I should add that I am a "Domestic Goddess", but my passion is genealogy.

Claudia - you have my sympathy! My stomach will never be the same! I had twins 20 yrs ago now. I gained 85lbs in pregnancy and have been working (at last) on getting rid of the remaining 49...lol I have 25 to go now.
Even with the weight gone though, as I 'stretched' a lot (my babes went full term plus two days); I will always have a baggy saggy lower belly in the form of skin if nothing else. I'd love to get a tummy tuck, but am very wary having seen how they do it!
Welcome to Traineo and good luck!

Hi All You Twin Mommies!
I, too, had stunningly gorgeous twins--girls (how awesome) over 4 years ago. I was tiny when I got pregnant (115 lbs) and maxed out at 165. 11 pounds of babies were born, but I came home from the hospital only 10 lbs lighter. I was expecting to be able to drop weight really quickly, but 4 years later, I'm still struggling. I've finally gotten down to 130, with a goal of 120. I'm in better shape now than before I got pregnant because I've worked at it for almost 2 years. Now, like some of you, my abs are pretty toned, but I'm wishing the extra-stretchy skin below my belly button would just go away!
I am happy to set a good example for the girls, though. They love going to the gym with Mommy (more than mommy likes going :eek and they ask for a healthy snack every night. I hope that my general attitude about being fit carries over more than my vanity!
In the meantime, I'd love to hear what the rest of you are doing to work on the 'pouch' as the twins call it!

twins are awesome. sorry, i had to chime in.
i don't know if my mom lost any weight after my twin brother and I were born, but our grandpa sure did! we lived in arizona, and he would take us hiking up in the mountain, for hours. he also quit smoking because it made me sick.
and our poor mom, i think we drove her crazy. if my kids do the things my brother and i did, i'll lose my mind.
