Hello!

I am new to this site and very anxious to start losing some of the weight that has been creeping up on me the past few years. I am quite active and enjoy exercise, however my diet has seen better days. I have never been a fan of "diets" however I recognize that I need to scale down my portion sizes and watch my caloric intake in order to lose.

I have inputed my weight/height and traineo then gives me a suggested caloric intake-is this what I should aim for to lose? or is this my maintaining level that I then need to make a deficit in order to lose? Also if I am exercising should I be eating what I burn in order to achieve the recommended caloric intake? I hope that all made sense...thanks for your help! I know this is going to take a lot of commitment and behaviour change, but i believe with a little motivation I am up for the challenge!
