i saw something on the Today Show (don't ask me why i was watching) that said you have to lose the baby fat within 3 months of having the baby. the hormones in your body will help you get back in shape. but after the 90 days, it's not gonna be easy.

i know that's not really relevant info. i just thought i'd put it out there for other expecting moms.

btw amanda, way to go!! 68 lbs is a lot of weight to lose. if 115 is your goal, and you want to keep the weight off, maybe you should think about putting on a little muscle. maybe be even more healthy than you were before you had your son. lean muscle uses a lot of energy, even at rest. it will raise your metabolism and make it less likely that you'll gain back fat that you've lost.

heavy dieting not only reduces fat, but can also reduce muscle mass. make sure you're eating a lot of protein!

I can completely relate. I gained about 100 lbs during my pregnancy and have been having a difficult time getting it off. I have injuries too, which makes it all the more challenging to workout. I think the elliptical is probably the best way for me to get in cardio, but I do take a lot of classes, just because I like the team-spirit

You're doing a kick-butt job. Yay to you!!
