Hi Everyone
I joined last week and I'm trying to lose weight with JUDDDD. I have struggled with weight for most of my adult life, but for the past two years, things have been pretty good. I've been wearing a size Medium and don't feel too self-conscious anymore. However, my weight has been slowly creeping up. I guess it's a combination of life changes (going back to work after my maternity leave, kids' switching from baby food to real food, etc.) and a few other factors. A few months ago, I started yo-yo dieting. Of course, that wasn't my intention, but that's what happened! I have tried so many diets, I can't believe it. I have lost and gained the same 5 lbs over and over again. For the most part, the diets were just too much of a pain in the butt to follow. Too much food prep, too much planning, too much calculating...I really am very short on time and I don't want to spend my every free moment planning out meals. Plus, I would always feel "restricted" and end up breaking the diet big time.
I had just decided never to diet again, and just to come up with my own plan, when I followed a link to the Johnson Upday Downday Diet, mostly out of curiosity about the unusual name. Then I found Traineo, and the things people were saying really intrigued me. I don't need to learn what to eat, I already know all that! But what I do need, and what this diet may be able to do for me, is to change my relationship with food. Anyway, I am going to give it a shot.
I am really impressed by the members of this community. Everyone sounds intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated. I hope to post some progress soon!
