My name is Melissa and I am a 26 year old new mom. I just finished up my nursing degree so I am full of lots of info on nutrition yet for some reason here I am fighting the weight loss battle once again. I typically most comfortable at 120-130 pounds but I like to stay around 125lbs. I quit smoking before i had my wee one and put on 10 pounds and then 30 pounds with my pregnancy...a whopping 40 in total!! I have 20 pounds to go but i have fallen off track once again!! I joined to read encouraging stories to keep me motivated and to get extra weight loss tips. I find myself miserable at 148 lbs and out of shape even though I have a membership at a wonderful gym...I guess I have the winter blues...haha or just like to blame my laziness on other things..haha

thanks for listening!!

congratulations on your new baby!!! I'm going to encourage you by saying that your not the first woman to gain weight with a pregnancy and i believe that you are going to return to your desired weight. Just remember that you need to get your metabolism back into shape which really isn't that hard to do. and to see even better fat weight loss incoroporate an increasing cardio workout, you'll get best results if you run or dance or watever right after you wake up before you eat anything because your glycemic index will be near depleted, and avoid eating carbs or high fructose after 6 p.m. because it easily transforms into fat when passing through your body when you sleep.
