Hi there,
Just saying hi, and introducing myself as someone who clearly desperately needs help in losing weight, so anything is worth a try at the moment!
I am very overweight (totally gorgeous but overweight! lol) and am getting married in vegas in march next year! I want to lose 9 stone by then.. (not sure what that is in lbs as we are in stones here in england..but 9x14 whatever that is!) which is a hell of a lot! Even losing those 9 stone would still make me obese, but, hey, I would fit in an airplane seat happily!! Anyhow... I hope that some of you will make the journey with me and hopefully keep me motivated. I have joined weightwatchers (big step for me with a public weigh in!!) and have lost 8lbs in two weeks...(had an accident with a bottle of champagne in the second week so put on a lb.. but am back on track again now!!)
Anyhow.. thats probably enough from me...
Hope to chat to you all at some point,
Lots of love

I am a dad of 2 young kids. (First excuse for my current weight)
I currently practice as a physical therapist and try to teach my patients to stay as fit as possible. I am starting this to help my brother but think this website would also be good for my patients. So I am doing it myself so I can tell others about how it works.
I am also taking a health promotion course and have decided to get back into the shape I was in 4 years ago before the kids came.

Best of luck. Let us know how you are doing every now and then and if you are ever feeling down let us know too so we can give you a boost.
Keep up the good work. 7 pounds is better than I have done in the past 4 months. Keep it up.

80 POUNDS GONE!
I've gone from a size 20 to a 6 (and even sometimes a 4!) and I've never looked this good in my life! (22 years of being overweight, dontcha know)
I'm a dedicated South Beach girl with a newfound love for exercise.
I've given up white flour, white sugar, fast food, and who knows what else. But you'll never get my coffee away from me!!

The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds." - Henry Rollins

Quoting: Iwannabthin had an accident with a bottle of champagne
Honey, I have accidents with all sorts of bottles almost every week. Ha! Love it. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! That's got to be exciting, trying to start a new life with a new, more healthy physique. I wish you much continued success!

Good luck Maz!!! You can do it! My best friend was about 100 lbs overweight...Until she started walking as much as she could to the point of fatigue *every day* and little by little she could walk farther each time. Now she does about 1.5 miles a day and has lost 26 lbs. She's still has a ways to go, but I'm very proud of her, and she is starting to try her hand at Tae Bo. Very cool. You've got to start somewhere!

Transplant to Seattle from St. Louis. Use to cycle pretty competitive a few years back but gave it all up for a sexy job working out of a cube for a bank.
Aside from the obvious health benefits, realizing if I don't make a change now I'll be forced to buy a new wardrobe.

Good Luck Maz!!
ps. for stone to pound conversion I love the google calculator. 9 stones, for example, is 126 pounds. Check it
