That's right, I'm asking all of you, (and myself,) to walk or run each morning for exactly 1 hour... no more no less.

This challenge will help with convictions, endurance, attendance, accountability, and above all healthiness!

No time limits, no constraints of any kind. You pace yourself and just make sure you do it each day for an hour. (You may walk, run, skip, or jog... your choice.)

Starting Labor Day and all the way through September.

Can we do it? Yes we can! Let's make each and everyone of us accountable!

Ok, day #1 of September has been complete -- 29 to go. (Remember to wear the correct footwear -- I didn't and now have blistered heals. Ouch!)

I'm soaking my feet as I write this.

But I'm determined to finish this month! How did the rest of you do?

Won't be an issue for me (I have cross country practice every day except sunday). Good luck!

Good luck to everyone in this challenge! I am about to switch up work out routines to include a lot more lifting so I won't be joining you all, but I will keep my eye on this thread.

This sounds awesome, but does it absolutely have to be in the mornings?

Doesn't have to be mornings, (I just needed a title for this thread.) LOL!

And you don't have to walk a straight hour either. You may take the breaks you need during the time you are on your walk.

The point of this challenge is to get people moving for an hour a day. I have a lazy streak in me so I needed to start this to get my butt off the computer chair.

If you like, you may apply aerobics, swimming, bicycling, or even a sport that requires a constant movement like basketball, volleyball, etc. Just do something for an hour straight.

Easy enough?

I'm jumping in on this, I had already set a goal of a 45 minute walk each day, but I can jump that up to an hour. I do my walks after work though, no way I am waking up earlier than I already do, lol.

Rachael, she loved it!

Rob, glad to have you on board.

And for the record, I walked a little longer than an hour up and down the stairs and all around the house doing a major clean/organizing thing. (It was much better on my skin-cracked heals.)

How's everyone else doing? Are we moving around for at least 1 hour each day?

Ok, tonight was a good night! I walked more than an hour doing yard work. I got a real good sweat going. (I know I said no more than an hour, I just wanted to get most of it finished up. lol)

Anyone else moving these days?

Since no one seems to be posting, I'll help you out. I'm tapering off for the tri so I didn't go an hour last night. I spent 23 minutes on the bike (6 miles) and 9.5 minutes running (.9 miles). So a total of 32.5 min. Not bad.

Great job Rachael! Every little bit helps. We all need motivation, and by posting, you are doing just that.

(I suppose I should have called this "Sweat every day for an hour in September"?!) LOL!

Today is a rest day, and tomorrow is the big tri day!! I'm nervous and pumped. The total time on Sat will probably be around an hour and 45 minutes then I'm taking next week off. Yea for rest.

Can't wait to see the results on Sep 30.

No one is late for this challenge! You may join at any time. I'm very happy to see some very determined weight losers.

I think I did pretty well this Friday and Saturday, (my daughters 5th b-day party.) Sunday I was not able to do my hour thing, so I guess I have to make that day up with an extra day in October.

How are all the rest of you doing?

I got my walk in today - on two parts - a 20 minute stretch early in the day and at the end of the day, 40 minutes...

Tomorrow, I'm going to aim for an hour straight.

Thanks, Richard!

Rachael, that's great!!! You amaze me.

That's awesome Dealy, keep up the good work!

I did, kind of the same thing. I walked roughly 30 minutes to my brothers place, visited a short while, then walked back home the final 30 minutes.

I did my hour yesterday at the gym: 20 minutes on the elliptical, 25 minutes on the recumbant bikes, and 20 minutes on the treadmill. Whoo, did I sweat bullets!
