That said, I did 5 sets of crunches on a balance ball holding a 10lb weight to the back of my head, then got a 137sec plank in, and since it was a challenge with my friend that cost me a protein shake, I probably couldn&amp;#039;t have done much more.  But, I do have a number to shoot for now

I do a whole series of core exercises, the plank being just one of them. It&amp;#039;s probably all the other ones making me sore ;) so, no...don&amp;#039;t think you&amp;#039;re weird

Keep up with it and you will get stronger and be able to hold it for longer.  When I started I couldn&amp;#039;t hold it for more then 30 secs and now I am up to a min +.

I totally agree, Rachael. Plus, there&amp;#039;s the fact that we generally don&amp;#039;t have the same upper body strength as men. 

Planks kill me! They are part of my core routine &amp;amp; they hurt (in a good way). I know I can do a minute, but I&amp;#039;m usually shaking by the end of that minute.
