Basically, you go from major to very little tension once you pass a certain point (I think it&amp;#039;s about 30 deg or so)... Look for that peak and go to there... There are a ton of different opinions on what a crunch is... This is pretty close, and probably the best way to do crunches - a full one is a waste and the pause will mean a much stronger contraction....

Instructions: 
1.) lay yourself on the floor looking at the ceiling with you knees pointing opposite directions, (left and right,) your feet sole to sole. (It almost looks like indian style.) 

2.) Now place your hands behind your neck, lightly touching for balance only -- no tugging your head, (you will need it later, you know?)
