A worthy first effort--lots of good material, well presented in a relaxed format.
Some suggestions:
- The show could benefit from having either specific topic segments or regular features (Workout tips, diet tips, common misconceptions, etc.) to make it easier to follow what's going on, as the conversation bounced around quite a bit. Once the show is recorded, you could add a bumper at the front to let listeners know where to fast forward to specific segments of interest to them.
- There were some problems with the phones during the first show, but it would make the program more engaging and interactive if listeners could hear the questions being asked, rather than the host relaying them.
- Provide specific call in times during the show or allow users to IM or email questions to the host so you don't have to interrupt the flow (or a guest) with the news that a caller is on the line asking about another, unrelated topic.
- Michael was an informative host. Good info, good attitude, fun to listen to. He needs to let the guest finish her thoughts, though!
- If this is to be a regular feature on Traineo, perhaps it deserves a tab of its own and a list of show times?

Hi Ron -
Thank you very much for your suggestions and support. They have been forwarded to our team including Michael.
We will be making some of your suggested changes for our next live show, featuring SHAPE fitness editor Linda Shelton, this Wednesday at 10am PST.
We've added the 'Library' tab to include this new content and based on feedback we'll feature Fit Talk more prominently across the traineo site.
Thanks again for your great feedback!

Wow, that was fast! But you folks are always all over it. Best of luck with the show!
Cheers,
Ron
P.S. One other thought: Eventually, you might consider offering the show as a single download and as individual downloadable segments on a single topic, a la Cartalk. This is more work but would allow you to repurpose the content throughout the site--adding segments to an audio library, for example, so users could find everything Traineo has to say about low carb diets, etc.

Out of my recent discovery and use of LifeWave Energy Patches, beginning in March '05, I joined a local gym in August '05. When I joined, I weighed in at 222 lbs! My BMI was 32.8! (I think I weighed even more, back in the Spring!).
Well, that gave me the honor of being well within the OBESE category. Through a surprising show of inner discipline (outright stubbornness), I was able to winnow that weight down to 206 lbs, but then I yo-yo'd up and down between 212 lbs and that low mark throughout the year. Pretty frustrating.
Back at 212 lbs, I began Isagenix just at the end of last month. A week a half into my first Isagenix 9-Day Plan put me back down to 206, then down to the dividing line between Obese and Overweight! (BMI 30.0) Here's some other highlights:
* I lost about an inch a day, right away!
* I QUIT coffee, right away!!!
* My cravings are fading, right away.
* I grocery shop a LOT LESS, but when I do shop, I don't feel much like buying all the 'crap' I used to be addicted to.
* I've been saving mucho $$$ at the grocery store (enough to well pay for my Isagenix stuff)!
* I have renewed hope for successful dating! (I'd found that I sometimes avoided going out with the women I'm most attracted to.) Weird, eh?
* Although I've been a good newbee gym-rat, I'm now even more interested in exercise and fitness.
* I already feel far more in charge of my overall health picture, because I can see that healthy weight target easily within my reach.
Keep an eye on my profile. It'll help me stay in the game!
Thx in Advance!

Hi Alasdair,
This is really great! Thx!
Will this also become a podcast soon? (It's not, just yet) That way we all can subscribe to the feed (& find it right in our iPods or computers automagically), instead of having to 'chase it down'!

I've stopped smoking febuary first 2006. Since then, I've gained 25 pounds..ouch. My metabolism is alot slower now. I have been eating everything I wanted with no limit's, no wonder I gained weight. I let myself do that so I could stopped smoking and it work..Now that I'm a true no smoker, I want to loose my weight. I'v already lost 9 pounds since a couple of months and am eating very well since then and doing exercice at least 4 times a week for a period of 30 minutes..Now that I've lost 9 pound, it seems that I've stopped loosing weight..I'm still exercising the same and eat now between 1200-1600 calories a day.
