Hi All,

As long promised, we've just rolled out our latest feature - My logs.

We've had so many people ask to be able to log so many different things, we decided to put together a tool which will let you log anything at all. We've got a few handy presets in there to give you some ideas, but if you've got any you think we should add as presets too, just let me know here.

There's no limit on the number of logs you can have. At the moment, you can't share or export your custom log data, but this is something we'll be adding soon.

Anyway - enjoy, any problems, post here, and we'll fix them ASAP.

Thanks,

Maxwell

Max,

Logs look great! In fact, logged my happiness as an 11 on a scale of 1-10 just to show my approval... haha

That's great Max, just tried out the Nike+ iPod kit today so was fun to log my pitiful attemps at running!

One observation though, the section where you add a new log or select existing logs scrolls around a bit weird when moving your mouse over to access the other menu options such as 'Workout' or 'Diet'. I guess this is to allow scrolling between multiple logs, but with only one log set, it easily zips off completely leaving a blank area! Took a couple of seconds to figure out why, so maybe some way to detect width of section and whether scrolling is required?

Hi Iain,

It shouldn't be doing that if you've only one set - are you using safari? Or camino, maybe?

Thanks,

Max

Sorry, forget to mention browsers - using Firefox under OS X and also got the same problem with Safari, so maybe just something in how they interpret things? Not a problem now I know how + why they'll scroll, but might confuse some others.

Excellent idea - just the tool needed to track my iPod fund - which in turn turn tracks my gym attendance

Way to go, traineo!!!

Harish.

Great feature Maxwell! Just to let you know the log buttons also scroll for me when they shouldn't. Firefox on Windows.

It would be nice to be able to choose which custom logs you would like to share.

How would you suggest logging something like blood pressure which has values of 120/80, 140/90, etc?

Hi Luke et al...

I'll take a look at the scrolling when things shouldn't issue - it's not one we've seen, but I'll have a go at reproducing it. Good point about logging BP with two values - I'll have a think about that and get back to you - I've a few ideas in mind.

Sharing custom logs is coming, we just wanted to get the feature out there to start with, and dip our toes in the water, and see how it went!

Thanks,

Maxwell

Why cans of tuna? Isn't that stuff full of mercury?

Yep, it's chock full of heavy metal goodness - it's a running joke between Chris and myself as he lives off the stuff - apparently the brand he eats is lower in mercury content than most, although I do wonder some times...!

Maxwell, with regards to logging blood pressure I've thought of something that might work, and its also generic enough to perhaps have other uses. You could allow for composite graphs that display 2 or more values. For blood pressure you would enter 2 numeric values, systolic and diastolic pressure. Each would display their own graph line. It might also be handy if a third line were generated as an average of the two, but thats not a must-have.
