Whenever I upload a photo it just shows a red x. Is there a size limit or something?

I am using the Zone way of eating (www.drsears.com) to attain my target and increase my wellness.
I'm losing weight for my health, energy, and for my friend's wedding so no one mistakes me for Ms. Piggy's sister.

Probably. Size it down to no larger than 88 by 88 pixels and try that.

I'm pretty sure a jpg file would upload successfully since it one of the two most commonly used file types.

I work in the automotive field as a project manager. Sitting on my butt all day is making it get too big. I started traineo around Nov 1, 2006 and have lost over 25 pounds! I want to be 169 lbs or below since that is a BMI below 25.
You can see though when you look over a year I've hit a plateau of around 180-185 pounds. It's still keeping off the original 20-25 pounds but I would like to do more. I know I feel lighter and more agile at 175 pounds, so 169 pounds would be really lean for my build.

The picture upload feature has been busted for about a week or so now. If you have a profile pic established, you're fine until you try to change it! I've tried several JPG's at different sizes. Nothing works.

My name is Cathy. I'm 50 years old. Follow my story on my blog http://time2start.wordpress.com/ Reckon if I "go public" that will spur me on!? I'm a married, vegetarian animal-lover who is fairly new to train(eo)ing!
PS Have set an interim weight-loss goal as I'm not sure what my ultimate goal will be.

Hopefully "they" are working on it!?

If you are trying to upload a file with a space in it, it will not work. Could that be the problem?

Thanks anyway Rachael. It was a good idea and worth a shot!
Now don't go and try to change your profile pic, you'll end up like us!

My weight goes up and down depending on how I'm feeling/motivated and I often give up or set myself ridiculous goals I can't stick to. I also suffer from the "I'll start tomorrow" syndrome. Would love to hear from other people in my situation for two-way motivation, or not, for that matter! (when that damn red cross goes from my photo box, you can see what i look like as well)
|
# Posted: 23 Jun 2008 20:08
grrr, this happens to me too!
profile picture was fine a few days ago, then it turned into a red cross overnight, haven't been able to get rid of it!

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they haev to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is NOTHING.

I'm having the same problem, tried to update a new photo and nothing. Don't the trainio support people care about these issues? Surely it would only took a developer a few mins to correct the problem.
Come on trainio, sort it out!!

Have just discovered how to put pictures within a post on here. May be an option while the "profile photo" thingy is broken.
Here's how it worked.
I've got some photos on http://photobucket.com/
but other image hosting sites are out there.
From there you click the IMG CODE beside the photo you want to use to "copy" it.
Then above here (the box you type in when posting on Traineo) there is the B for bold, I for italics, then U, then one with wee coloured shapes, click that and then paste the "image URL" you have previously copied from your photo site and BINGO there you are for all the world to see.
Phew! I maybe sound like I know what I'm talking about (?!) but I had a few goes before I worked out how!!
Maybe someone else can explain it more concisely... !

A new job in a new state. Seems like a good time to make some changes in the rest of my life as well. Getting older and a little scared about how much harder it is to stay in shape now; really want to get back on track with exercise, hydrating, eating right, and sleeping enough (a lifelong struggle).

One note about images: if you edit a post with an image in it it breaks the image tags and turns them into HTML which the board doesn't support... known bug but they haven't addressed it yet.

Boo... it is still broken. Just want to add an image of me 28 lbs lighter >_< As a web programmer I think that this is one of the best designed web sites on the internet, even a lingering bug cannot change that. Good luck fixing it...

Since the Traineo admins haven't done anything at all in a very long time even when there was serious complaining, I'm guessing that no one is monitoring this site any more. I wouldn't expect any results ever. My guess is that eventually this site is going to have so many unresolved bugs that it won't be usable and we'll all have to abandon ship. Hopefully that day is still a while off.
