For those of you who don't know something strange is going on. I tried logging into traineo after a few days of not being on, and it said my password was invalid. I tried again and again, still wouldnt work. Funniest thing is because the computer remembers my password so it CAN'T be wrong.

I sent a request to send it to my email address but I didn't get it. I checked my junk mail and normal mail, nothing. I tried Caps lock and all - trust me I tried. Nothing.

I created another account, logged in, created a topic, and signed out. Couldnt sign back in 5 minutes after I had created it. Tried again with another account, same thing. This is my fourth account. I even asked my friend to create an account to try it out and same thing happened to him.

For anyone who is having these problems, well I suggest you all tell traineo right now, considering ive sent a few messages but we know they're a little bit slack when it comes to getting back to you.

I am thinking that is why I havent seen a few people around here because they logged out and can't log back in. If you dont see me again I couldnt log back in (no suprise) so i'd probebly have to create another email and a new account.

Just a note to, on another topic I saw someone posted and it was something I didn't write, but they had my picture, my old account name, but the username on the profile is "testy1".... this is strange, I'm beleving someone is trying to imatate me. (I'm stitch by the way, for the people who dont remember me). The person also has the same country and town set as my own. The only difference beetween my real account and theirs is no training and the weight is all wrong. Someone is imiatting accounts... a hacker or pain in the a**?

Hey Stitch

I just read the other thread. I think the "testy" person was just trying to set up an account with your details to "test" the problems you stated.

what do you mean? why would a person need to add the same details as my account when I guess it's happening to everyone?

I am a webdesigner, and I'd say traineo was fixing a few things perhaps and something has happened to the login process section of the website with regards to remembering the right passwords. it's as if it gets deleted off their database right away. You can login when you create a new account, but when you sign out you cant get back in. I wish I was a staff memeber of the site, cause i'd be more active since i'm on here anyway all the time

All I can say is that I always log out of my account and have not had a bit of trouble logging back in again.

I don't let my browser remember passwords though. That's what the gray matter is for, LOL!

Have you tried logging out recently? Because as I stated it's not just my browser, it's everyone's. I did ask my friend to try and same thing happened to him, as did a few other traineo members.

I am using Internet Explorer, and I also tried it on firefox without remembering passwords.... - no luck

I just logged out after seeing your latest message... and no issues, I'm now right back in.

I'm using Firefox.

You might want to clear your cache and all cookies and see if that helps any. Meanwhile... signing off to go eat.

Ok it worked with this account, but the same happened yesterday. I kept clicking sign in and it eventually worked, but if I sign out again and try to sign into another account or this one it won't work... ill try again.

Ok... tried several times to get into my first account, and the 3 others I created for a test, none work except for this last one I created. What do I do?

I access Traineo from IE6, IE7, Firefox 3.0, and Safari regularly. All of them are configured to delete the browser cache on exit (some are public machines). I have not had the issue either.

Have you tried accessing from another machine?

Also, have you checked to make sure the browser detects the correct Character Encoding for the page? It should be UTF-8. A switch might garble passwords -- grabbing at straws here. If you're on Windows, IME might switch input encoding too.

I'm not affiliated with Traineo, but I can run some more tests to see if I can reproduce the problem. In the meantime, I highly recommend trying to access your account with Firefox 3.0 or Opera to see if you still get the same problem (if you don't have a second machine handy).

I had the same problem. this is the second account i've created. so now i have two accounts on this site. which sucks! so i emailed them multiple times and i still haven't heard anything back from the traineo people.

i put in my email and they never sent my password to me. how long do you think it'll take, because i really want to delete the first account that i can't access!!!

Well I have downloaded opera, no difference.

I've come to the conclusion that.... after you send the password request for one of your accounts, it has already changed the password. Which is why you cannot access it aftewards - and it doesnt send it out to your account. I was looking through the script to try and find the form because it seems faulty, havent found the problem yet.

However, this does not change the situation, I didnt ask for a password retrieval on my first account in the first place, and I couldn't log in. Now that I have asked to send it for my first account, second, third, and forth accounts I can't access them. This is the last account I am going to create, I want traineo to change my password for my first account so I can access it again because I don't want to start a new account, I had many posts and logs on the first one and I'm not gonna start again.

Traino HURRY UP AND ANSWER PLEASE!

Now that would be bad, if no one can change their password without losing access if they aren't sending the emails out. Ugh!

Hope you get an answer soon! I'm using some version of Firefox 2... and need to update. But still no troubles logging out and logging back in.
