I am a triathlete trying to lose some weight so I can improve my times. I love traineo and the very motivational people on here.

Is there a way to change my settings to determine what emails I do and don't get? I went from getting an email any time somebody breathed to getting zero emails from traineo. It's kinda weird and I'm wondering what happened.

I have started two new blogs, one to follow my running and a Quest to a Marathon at blog.262quest.com and one to follow my weight loss at blog.2big.org, please check them out.
I am an IT professional / Developer which means I sit in front of a computer most of the day. This means very little exercise and plenty of time to eat.
I decided at the first of the year that I was going to lose weight. I started by changing my eating habits and started walking.
I did so for about a month and then added some weight lifting and started to run a little bit.
I have so far lost 29 lbs in just over 3 months and would like to lose just over another 50 lbs by the end of the year.
I have started running quite a bit more and am training to run the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th (10k)
I need all the encouragement I can get because to do this I am getting up every morning during the week at 4:30 to go running. With a wife and kids this is really the only time that I can consistently do what I need to do.
I am driven, but at times get a bit discouraged because I don't have anybody to work out with or run with.
All in All, I know I can do it, I just have to remember that when I don't do so well, it is in the past and what matters is going forward.

Traineo is having problems with this. The site every so often has this problem and usually in a day or two you will get thousands (exaggerated a bit) of e-mails and then everything will work fine again.
Use their contact page and let them know.... I did this yesterday.... maybe if they get enough they will fix the problem.

It would be great if I could decide what emails I get from Traineo. I know you can change your settings on Facebook, so there's probably a way to do that here too.

Not much to say, I like playing video games and watching/playing sports. I work as a web developer for a small company.
I think when I get into shape I want to become a volunteer firefighter.
Goal: Lose 35lbs before Cardio King

Quoting: rach_1623 I know you can change your settings on Facebook, so there's probably a way to do that here too.
That would depend on how the site was developed and if they made it to where you can do that.

Are we the only ones having this problem? Are others having this problem? This is really starting to irritate me. I like to get the e-mails to posts I have chosen to follow.

09/02/08 - 151, ugh! Well, it's only 6 pounds, it will come back off!
07/30/08 - 145 YAHOO!!
06/26/08 - 148, ugh, up 3 pounds but I just started The 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels (instead of my Slim in 6). WOW, talk about an intense workout!
05/30/08 - 145! YAHOO!! Up 7 pounds from December but after the past few months I am impressed I didn't gain 40!!
12/29/07 - When I started this particular journey, I was 187 pounds and had a BMI of 31.1 and was obese. I am now 138 pounds and have a BMI of 23! I am within normal range again! Thank you everyone for your support! ______________________________ 04/19/07 The start of the journey - I am a 33 year old single mother of 5, ages 8 to 18 and I am obese.
I never had problems with my weight until about 4 years ago. It started coming on and just didn't stop! I have yo-yo'ed long enough and it is time to get moving and get losing!

Me too! I was thinking how weird it was that I wasn't getting any emails when people were posting to the forums! I am glad it isn't just me!

Hmmm.....
I think they just fixed the old problem.... or someone brought a serer back up they were not supposed to.
I got about 90 e-mails overnight dated in January. I guess someone found the gum that had the e-mail hole plugged!
