First off, let me say, freaking awesome site. Like so many people, this is very close to what I have been looking for. Excellent job guys.
My question involves becoming a motivator for a friend. I already signed up for an account, and sent an email to my friend to be a motivator for me. They, in turn, signed up, and requested me to be a motivator for them. However, when I click on the link it keeps on asking me to sign up for an account when I already have one. And even if I click on the "Already a member?" link, it does not show my friend as a motivatee.
Any thoughts?
Thanks and keep up the great work!

I've got the same problem. If anyone's figured out a workaround, that'd be cool.

Hi Jeremy,
This is a use scenario which actually slipped through the cracks - we'll come up with a solution as soon as we can (next day or so). For now, what you can do, is go through the usual internal motivator adding thing - if you get them to make themselves available to motivate, you can then send them a motivator request through the find motivators page - http://www.traineo.com/findmotivator .
Sorry for any inconvenience, glad you're liking the site!
Thanks,
Max

Hi! I'm Oyvind. I live in Oslo, Norway. I work in a major media company, and have a site at brilliantdays.com. I play basketball, run, ski and go to the gym to stay fit. If you need a motivator, feel free to invite me!

Yep. Just found the same myself. I will have to get my friend to allow people to motivate publicly so I can add her.
18 Aug 2006 was more than a couple of days ago for a fix... come on guys get motivated!

I had a heart attack on 9/5/07 at the age of 38. I'm a non-smoking guy about 60 pounds overweight. My diet was mostly good except for excessive snacking, plus I didn't work out at all and I have a desk job. I was very lucky in that there was very little damage done to my heart. Now I'm going to get into shape.

So in order to be a motivator for somebody in particular you have to be available as a motivator for everybody?

A couple of years ago I weighed somewhere between 235-240, and was facing the prospect of buying jeans with a 42 waist. My wife and I went on the South Beach diet and I got down below 210. I have come back up at high as 218, but am determined to get back down under 210 and, at least as a current goal, down to 200.

I would like to get an answer for the question immediately above--I have a group of friends at work and we are signing up for Traineo accounts. We would like to link to each other's accounts on traineo as motivators, but I don't think any of us right now wants to be a publicly-viewable motivator. No, I don't really want to hear how easy it is to deny people's requests to be their motivator, I want to know how to link to a friend's account as a motivator without setting it up as if they didn't have an account (an external motivator) or each of us having to list as a publicly-searchable motivator.
Thanks much for any information provided. I hope this is an easy question.
