is it possible to fill in data for dates before you've joined traineo?

Hi Lucas,
At this point, no, although this is a feature we are strongly considering implementing. It IS possible to enter back-dated data for the period since you've joined traineo at the moment, however - I know this isn't much help for now though.
We'll look at how feasible it'd be to add this, and we'll let you (plural - several people have asked for this) know once we've got an answer.
Thanks,
Max

This is a great idea Max. I did 3 hours of cardio last night and figured it'd be nice to start with a history... makes the progress look forward a little better.
Thanks for the great site. I love the "web 2.0" goodness. Great use of AJAX.

just found this site, it is exactly what i have been looking for. i bought a concept 2 rowing machine around 4months ago and you can download your workouts from it onto your puter. being able to put it all into this site from now on is awesome, but historical data would be even better :D
coincidentally im a web developer myself and was considering writing something to monitor my progress and import the data into, cheers for saving me the job!
and +1 for the great use of ajax, very impressive. filling out the signup form was ace!

Concept 2's are great machines - which model do you have? I'm thinking of getting an old C, they're pretty cheap now.
One thing we are investigating is potentially offering integration with various devices such as the concept 2, but this is really dependent upon demand.

Just wanna echo what gareth said. 'cept I don't have a rowing machine.
1) i'm a web developer who's recently started tracking exersize and diet info
2) was gonna build an app 'someday', but you saved me the effort
3) am very stoked on the signup form; way slick
4) am looking forward to what kinds of reporting i'll see on my data
5) have a month or two of data that i'd like to import, if possible
Any format'd be fine, really.

yo, i've got a model D as i bought it in the last 6 months. getting a heart rate monitor was also a great idea - didnt realise how important they were for tracking your training zones.
there is a c++ interface for the model D on the concept2 website, lets you query the rowers computer through the usb port.

That's interesting to hear - the last time I put something together to interface with a concept2 was integrating the model Bs through an interface off a rowperfect - an ugly hack, but it meant that the squad could erg more competitively.
In any case, I'm working on a historic data import tool, so I'll keep you all posted, and integration with various hardware is definitely coming, but it's a good month off.

I lost around 55 pounds a couple of years ago and then I got lazy and gained it all back. I lost it before by eating good, and spending 40 minutes a day on the treadmill 6 days a week. I'm starting the process again and plan to alternate cardio and weights.

Is there a way to change your original starting weight without the site thinking it is a gain or loss in weight?

I'm tired of my weight holding me back. I have already lost 12lbs before starting traineo. I will have lost 50 pounds when I reach my goal weight.

Yeah, I have all my past data living on a competing website. For me to seriously consider jumping, I need a way to fill in all my old weights. BTW, this site looke promising.
Any ETA on when this featue will be available?

Agree with the above post. As soon as I can add past data I will be more than happy to close my account elsewhere and pledge my allegiance to traineo
