Hi, I added an incorrect weight entry to a wrong date and don't know how to delete it. How can I accomplish this?

I'm looking to lose about 30-40 lbs overall. What's funny is, I'm smaller now than I was in high school. I'm currently on WW and my 10% goal is about the thinnest I've ever been (I was there about 4-5 yrs ago). I just want to be healthy and feel good about myself. I'm not looking to be stick thin, 'cause that's just gross.

I'm not sure if you can delete it, but I think you can replace it with the accurate weight. Just go back to the day you entered the wrong weight, type in the correct one and submit it.

I am always out doing something fun. I play Hockey, Racquetball and Paintball to keep me busy. I have been spending a good amount of time at the gym. I hope to keep on doing what I do and reach my goal!

To the Right of messages, there is the calender. You can change the date there. Then just go and change the weight entry.

Nate,
My question was related to eliminating a bad entry. If I go to the calendar and change the current date context, that still leaves me with a bad entry on the prior date.
My goal is to delete the incorrect entry so that I don't have a valid one and an invalid one.

ahh Ok, yeah I just went and did a test. I can not remove an entry once entered. I can only change it.

Photo is me about 5 years ago, and about 35 pounds lighter. Still, it's bad enough.
About me: 42 years old and still wearing the husky Garanimals. Got a new job three and a half years ago at a college in the mountains, so I figured I'd lose a lot of weight walking up hills and stairs, and working out at the school's gym. Instead, I've done most of my working out in the cafeteria, and put on 30 pounds since taking the job.
Time to finally get serious.
**Update 5/7/2007** OK, _now_ it's time to finally get serious. Did well for a few weeks, then slacked off for a few months and am now back above my weight when I started on Traineo.
**Update 1/6/2008** No, I mean it this time. Time to get serious. Really. You believe me, don't you?
**Update 6/10/2008** Did I say it was time to get serious before? Just kidding. *Now* is the time for getting serious. Had a physical a few weeks ago; blood pressure's up slightly; blood sugar still good, despite family history of diabetes and my lack of healthy lifestyle; cholesterol quite a bit high. Doc says make some changes or go on medicine for the BP cholesterol--think I'll try making the changes.

I posted a related question last week and haven't gotten any response from the Traineo powers that be. But as far as I can tell, you can't actually eliminate the incorrect weight. In my case, I apparently entered a "145" or something close when I wanted a "245." Now, because of that 145, which I immediately went back and "changed," I have a lovely "goal met" banner, even though I'm still quite a few pounds away from the goal.

Hi Mike - Sorry about the frustration with not being able to totally remove the weight entry...we'll fix this issue in a new release. In the meantime we recommend changing your old entry accordingly.
Thanks for your support!

Hi Mike,
The Traineo interface definitely needs a methodology for correcting and eliminating mistakes. I've accidentally clicked on the sliders in the "My Diet" and have been unable to eliminate the mistake. As a result, I just don't use that section; which is unfortunate.

Good to hear that's an issue to be looked at, Alasdair. Until then, I guess I just have to start over with a new starting weight and goal weight? Not that I've lost more than a couple of pounds, so that won't really be an issue, but I had hoped to be able to keep it set with my original "decided to at least think about losing weight" date, rather than having to reset it to get rid of the "goal met" designation.
HB-I also don't use that one, but more for the fact that it's not useful to me. I don't track calories (maybe that's a contributing factor to my not losing any weight), but would use something like a "how did you do on your diet today?" kind of meter, with a poor, fair, good, excellent kind of option. I guess I could still use it that way, but just haven't bothered.

I'm the author of Why Your Last Diet Failed You and How This Book Won't Help You on Your Next One. It's the inspiring true story of one man as he loses seventeen thousand pounds in just one hundred and ninety-two months. Unfortunately, he gained it all back last Thanksgiving.
Yes, this book is my tale: the good, the bad, and the deep fat fried. The main story spans years of dieting ups and downs. From Slim-Fast plans to cheeseburger benders, I follow up every smashing success with an agonizing failure. Admittedly, this would be a truly painful read if the subject weren't tackled head on with sufficient doses of satire and humor. Along the journey are many topical tangents: I give irreverent reviews of popular diets, teach the reader how to start his or her own diet craze, clarify why Pop-Tarts are not "an excellent source of vitamins and minerals", tell the frightening tale of the Pancakes of Death, and explain how diet sodas bring all the broken pieces of my life together.
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll put it in your next garage sale.

Quoting: amclean we'll fix this issue in a new release
This was three months ago and I was curious if this has been addressed yet. I, too, want to delete an entry. It's not a wrong entry: it's the right date and the right weight. It's just that I entered it before my current diet and it's throwing off my progress of the current diet.

I wouldn't expect a new release any time soon. They have been promising one for a very long time now - like a couple of years maybe.
