http://anotherfatguy.wordpress.com/ I'm looking at a total weight loss of over 130 lbs (60 kg for those of you in Europe like me...), from 150 kg to 90 kg (330 lbs to 198 lbs). I'm a 36 year old man and am REALLY tired of... well being tired.
So far I've been training like a mofo, and have totally revisited my diet - so far so good, 1/3 of my goal HAS been met - YIPPEE!!
Have met some great people here, and looking forward to meeting even more here on traineo - don't be afraid to bombard me with motivation - I'll take all you can give me :)

I have started two new blogs, one to follow my running and a Quest to a Marathon at blog.262quest.com and one to follow my weight loss at blog.2big.org, please check them out.
I am an IT professional / Developer which means I sit in front of a computer most of the day. This means very little exercise and plenty of time to eat.
I decided at the first of the year that I was going to lose weight. I started by changing my eating habits and started walking.
I did so for about a month and then added some weight lifting and started to run a little bit.
I have so far lost 29 lbs in just over 3 months and would like to lose just over another 50 lbs by the end of the year.
I have started running quite a bit more and am training to run the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th (10k)
I need all the encouragement I can get because to do this I am getting up every morning during the week at 4:30 to go running. With a wife and kids this is really the only time that I can consistently do what I need to do.
I am driven, but at times get a bit discouraged because I don't have anybody to work out with or run with.
All in All, I know I can do it, I just have to remember that when I don't do so well, it is in the past and what matters is going forward.
A more up to date thread on me: http://www.traineo.com/14_2366_0.html

GRRR - HUGE problem here...
I now have access to EVERY single forum available on traineo.
Every single group, even those I'm not a member of, show up underneath the usual forum topics, and the new posts in all the groups show up among the new posts - meaning that sometimes the new posts from the groups that I AM a member of get pushed down the list on the main forum page and thus go completely ignored by me.

Hey Alasdair, my friend Wendy recently started using this site and she has sent you guys a couple of emails, but she cannot log on. She is almost positive that she has the right password, and I checked her site to make sure she had the right login name. Her login name is McAttack and her name is Wendy McMillan. Please get this fixed for her. Thanks!

I am unable to log in with my user id stephy1818 -- I tried to reset the password and it isn't working. I am not getting the emails after I tried to reset it. I created this temporary user id, to post, and see if there is something going on. the best email to use for me to get info is stephy60047@yahoo.com, but I could not use that email for this account as it is being used by my account that is not working.
Thanks. It looks like it isn't just me as I read above.

I am starting out and need motivation. I look forward to getting healthy, and losing weight. I am married with no children at this time. I am diagnoised with pre-diabetes, and am hoping to get healthier, and lower my blood sugar.

Rachael -- did Wendy try resetting her password? That is what I had to do. I finally got the email when I clicked "forgot password". (even though I didn't forget it.) I hope that helps.

i Slappy
I'm a slappy geek (IT Systems Analyst at work, Gadget lover at play) and ready to do something to change my state of slappiness...time to de-slappify myself.
Unfortunately, my love for all things tech is, by it's nature, a very sedentary lifestyle which has lead me down the path of being slappy (overweight/obese, in case you were curious). After having three different doctors strongly urge me to lose weight and a blood pressure reading of 190/110...this new path became an absolute must.
I've joined the Weight Watcher ranks and found it to be a great gateway to my 'lifestyle change'. It has been a tremendous help to reducing my calories, while helping get in my daily intake of fruits, vegetables, calcium, water, omega-3's, etc...
As for fitness, I have been using my eliptical trainer at home because running outdoors was a little harsh on my knees. This has helped to ease my hand off the TiVo remote and onto the home exercise equipment. I now watch digitally recorded shows while huffing and puffing. =P
I look forward to meeting new and interesting people on here and finding new 'thinspirations' and motivators.

Everyone is. Traineo definitely has some weird quirks. Such as some people don't receive automatic emails, the whole private groups being public thing, some people's accounts don't work correctly (Wendy never did get her account working and had to create a new one), some people cannot send messages to specific other people (but can write on their profile) even though they are contacts and that person can send messages to them, some people cannot write on specific other people's profile (but can send them messages) even though they are contacts and that person can write on their profile.
Yeah, lots of weird things that don't work just right. I tend to overlook it since it doesn't appear that anyone will be fixing these issues any time soon. And I love the people on Traineo too much to not use it just because of some random broken stuff.

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

Hi Max,
is there a way that I can delete my motivators? Many have moved on/don't log on anymore. Thanks!

I registered today, and added 4 motivators and none of them (and myself) got automated emails... which I assume I was supposed to.
I ended up deleteing my first account (mattmcnamara.traineo.com) and trying again to figure out if I typoed somewhere, and still no one has got emails.
Just letting you know!

My name is Cathy. I'm 50 years old. Follow my story on my blog http://time2start.wordpress.com/ Reckon if I "go public" that will spur me on!? I'm a married, vegetarian animal-lover who is fairly new to train(eo)ing!
PS Have set an interim weight-loss goal as I'm not sure what my ultimate goal will be.

Oh my gosh! I hate it when Traineo randomly blocks some profiles. I know that there are some people who can't see my profile and most recently I can't see Silica Weary's profile. So Silica I left a message for you on my profile because when I search for you on the members page, it comes up with nothing. *sigh* I mean, I know this is a free web site, but is it too much to ask that somebody keep it up? And the whole new release of Traineo thing, they just keep dangling that carrot in front of us with no come through. Alright rant done.
