Married, no children, love travelling and spending time with our friends. Passionate about horses - finally got two of my own but not until I'd passed 40 ! Tried diets in the past - word is now banned in our house I found you generally end up weighing more than when you started if it isn't a way of living your life permanently. So I've stopped yo-yo dieting and decided increasing my exercise is the long term solution. Thus I've recently added a 2nd dance class - line dancing - each week as a fun way to exercise and lose weight. In just 4 weeks this appears to be a good approach as I have lost some weight. So wahtever my weight is on the scales at least I'll be fitter :0))

Hi
Is it possible to view my progress charts from the date I joined up to current date rather than the progress made just over the past couple of weeks ?

Sure wish we had the option to remove motivators! I want to replace a couple and it really seems like this should be something that we can control!

Hi Brandon -
Thanks for your very important feedback regarding privacy. We have been listening to the comments / feedback and the latest update does allow you to remove both contacts and motivators. You can remove your motivators from your traineo homepage or by visiting their profile page (where you'll see a 'Remove from Motivators' link).
I hope that helps and please let us know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Alasdair
p.s. Hope you're enjoying the slightly nicer weather in Cambridge today ;)!

My date is wrong. For some reason when I log in it says it's yesterday's date. It has been like this for about a week. Now I am all messed up because I tried to change the date to log in yesterday's info because I forgot.
Any ides? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi
Could you add exercising with a Swiss/fit ball? I'm finding this great fun to use, and am confident it's doing me good but it isn't on the list of workout options.
Thanks

Hey Guys,
When I open my Traineo page now, I get a list of messages from one of my groups "YOUR TRAINEO SUPPORT NETWORK" and have to click "switch to simple view." Is there any way to have it go straight to the simple view? It's annoying to have to click this everytime when I'm just logging in to add exercise or something.
Thanks!

Hi Brandon - thanks for your message. You don't have to click simple view each time as the navigation buttons - My Workout, My Diet, Weight etc are active.
Hope that helps!

I was gone for awhile, but I'm back and ready to lose the 20 pounds I managed to gain back while I was away. Stupid stressful job. Stupid comfort food.
I'm looking to lose 10 of the 20 by the time I go on my much delayed honeymoon. (June 7th, 2008)
Some background... January 16th, 2006=188 pounds. January 16th, 2007=162 pounds. January 16th, 2008=156 pounds.

I just signed on today and I saw a button that said I had reached my goal weight. This is a bit odd, since I only signed up yesterday and I don't think I can lose 60 lbs in a day without even knowing it. I looked at the About Me tab, and my goal weight seems to be set at my current weight. I tried to change it back to my goal weight, but it says "Goal weight smaller than current!" Of course it's smaller than current. Isn't that the point of a weight loss site?
Please advice.

Seems like Traineo is off by 1 day for me - my pc datetime is 23Apr07, but it wants me to enter data for 24Apr07. Also if I click previous/next day, I have to use the browser Refresh to have the new day display onscreen. I first entered data for today, then went back to Jan07 and entered some data, and the last weight data I entered is the weight Traineo thinks I weigh. Now says I gained 40 some lbs between Jan and Apr, even though this should be lost 40lbs. Shouldn't this be by date? PC details are: WinXPSP2/Firefox 2.0.0.3

First, personally I want to achieve a standard level of fitness/weight and maintain those levels. I want to remain healthy, remain an active participant in my boy's lives and activities (whatever they may be), and achieve a higher level of daily energy.
Secondly, I believe in leadership by example.
I want a lot of things for my two young boys in their lives. One of the things I hope for them is a life filled with good health, and being physically fit is as good a hedge as any to achieve that goal.
To help them, I need to look at myself and see what they see through their eyes. Hopefully, if I can maintain a healthier, physically active lifestyle that might be something they will emulate throughout their lives.

I'm a network security engineer who enjoys fencing and weight training, happily married, and trying to lose the weight I gained the past few years due to inactivity and medications. I'm aiming to get back into the suits I used to wear when I had a "suit job".
I put my starting weight as it was the day I joined traineo, but I'd lost 32lbs since my peak of 205 lbs, size 18.

Hi! I'm a new user and I love your site. I do have a few suggestions:
- Can you add fencing as an exercise activity? I'm currently putting my fencing practices down as Tae Kwon Do, kind of arbitrarily.
- I use Firefox, version 2.0.0.3 (the latest). I can't update the diet sliders under Windows, because I can't see the sliders. I can, however, update them on my Linux box, so that's what I've been doing. I have Javascript enabled on both boxes. Please fix the diet sliders for Firefox under Windows
- When I go back to check on an exercise session of a few days ago, if I had put in more than one exercise session for that day, I can only see the first session. The calorie total for all sessions still shows up on the graph, but the form fields for exercise session 2 (and presumably 3) show up as empty (unset) when I click on session 2, so I can't see if I ran or did elliptical that day, for example.
Thanks and keep up the great work!

I am keep getting alot these errors "Sorry this page doesn't exist on traineo! If you're trying to view a member's page and can't see it, you may need to log in first. Alternatively, please continue to browse our site using the links above or to the right" when going to friends profiles. I am already logged in. I don't know what is wrong. Hi Matt -
Thanks for your post. It looks like your friend has his / her profile settings as private which means that URL will not work. If you are his / her designated motivator you will however be able to provide motivation and support via your home page...just click Motivatees in the bottom left of your home page.
I hope that helps!

Started NutriSystem on 3/10/07 to lose weight. Continue to weight train and adding more cardio. Primary goal is to drop the weight. Once the weight is off, then I will intensify the strength training.

Click on the HOME tab above
Click on the About Me Tab
Lower left side will be a window (mine is yellowish) labeled traineo Preferences.
Click on [change] to the right of Profile Visibility & Privacy
In the bottom group, labeled Profile options change one of the no's to a yes. I recommend just the two titled for traineo members only.
Click Save and Close and your done.

Maybe this has been addressed, but is there any way to flip flop the threads so the most recent post is first? It is very helpful to have the pages at the top - but even then sometimes you need to scroll down the last page, past posts you have already read to get to new stuff.
Overall, you all do a great job. This is a great site. Love the ease and clarity of quoting each other.

My profile will not allow me to post a comment for the lift of me. It just says "error on page" at the bottom of Internet Explorer. For a while there, it would do this once or twice, then I would reload again and it would magically work. Today it won't work at all. What gives?

I have two problems:
1. I want to become a Motivator for one of my Motivatees. How do I do this?
2. I would like to be able to delete data points in the various categories (weight, diet, etc.). This is because I accidentally entered data in the wrong days.
I know both of these questions have been before on the forums by others, but there doesn't seem to be any resolution.

I STILL cannot post comments on my page. I've succeeded once out of I don't even know how many attempts. Also, now when I go to comment on someone elses page, Traineo decides I'm no longer logged in. But, if I click on any other part of the site, I'm definitely still logged in.
Little help guys? This site isn't much good to me if I can only interact on the forum.
