Hi Brandon,

The date thing we're aware of, and working on - we moved to some bigger newer servers, in a different timezone, which had some unanticipated effects.

With regards the slider - you're absolutely right - looks like a rounding error somewhere, we'll take a look.

Thanks

Maxwell

Great site Max et. all. I'm really enjoying using it. One suggestion I had is just to generally make every input field easier to change. A lot of people including myself are finding it difficult to fix mistakes we've made inputting weight, height, etc. This would help a lot to make us feel less like we are locked into our current plan.

Thought it might be a good idea to post this here as well just in case.

Thanks,

Hello,
I just signed up for trainio and I want the same member to be my motivatee, that is my motivator. She has sent me an email through tranio so I can sign up. However, when I click on that link and it wants me to sign up, I click on the Already a member?Sign in now link and it goes to my homepage, it doesn't say anything about my motivee. I've tried several times and still can't get anywhere.
Thank you.

BTW, I think this is a terrific site!

Hi Brenda,

Has she sent the motivation request to the same email address with which you signed up to traineo?

Thanks,

Maxwell

Hi Maxwell,
No, we were using a different email address. I'll have her try the other one. Thanks a lot, I never would have thought of that!

you need to connect the BA-1100n with an ST-ring to get that one up and running.

It would be really nice if we could enter our starting weight when we decided to change our lifestyle, not just when we joined Traineo. I joined when I had already lost 20 lbs. It would be nicer to see that I've lost 23 lbs than 3 lbs.!

Hi Stephen,

Sorry I missed your request - occasionally these things just go by too fast, and get buried.

It looks like perhaps you didn't complete the group creation process? If you click on 'Edit this group' to the left, and then save your changes, that may get things working. If it doesn't, feel free to get in touch through the contact form or message 'the traineo team', and we'll sort it out manually from our end.

Thanks,

Maxwell

I seem to be having a kind of strange problem, my page seems to think that I want to gain weight instead of lose it. Did I accidentally activate something (because that is totally something I would do and totally miss it!)? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Tiffany,

You seem to be stuck in weight gain mode - you'll need to gain enough weight (in terms of the site!!) in order to meet your goal - you can then go to 'about me', and enter your actual, weight loss, goal.

Thanks,

Maxwell

My unfortunate problem continues because now I can enter a weight just fine, but it keeps telling me that I have met my goal because I am currently over that weight. Every time I type in a number (unless it is higher than my current) it tells me that I have met my goal. Sorry for any inconvienience!

Hi Tiffany,

If it now says you've met your goal, it means you can now RE-set your goal to a weight loss one - just go to 'about me', and put in your desired weight - it'll then re-jig itself to get itself back on track with you.

Hope that helps!

Maxwell

Is there no way to search for members and the topics posted by a specific member? perhaps miniBB doesnt have this functionality that i've seen in other forum-ware.

Hi Les,

If you click on the little 'person writing' icon above anyone's picture on a forum post, you can view their posting history.

Thanks,

Maxwell

Under "workouts", could traineo add a new category for pilates using a resistance apparatus? I'm using the Supreme Pilates "machine" which lets you choose between 2 types of tension springs (longer & shorter) to create resistance. I prefer shorter springs for a tougher workout! Thanks.

Hi Ms. Bootcamp -

Thanks for the suggestion to add a new category for pilates, Supreme Pilates certainly sounds like a tougher workout than a regular pilates session!

As you probably already know, traineo's calorie expenditure tool is designed to provide a solid benchmark for your workout exertion. As a result, for 'hybrid' workout types, like the modified version of pilates you're describing, we suggest that you simply log pilates and select 'hard' or 'extremely hard' to adjust for the resistance apparatus. An alternative is to enter the actual calorie expenditure value if you do know it.

I hope this makes sense - we're working hard to improve our tools, including finding more accurate ways to track new workouts such as Supreme Pilates, so please bear with us and let us know if you have any other suggestions / feedback.

Thank you and good luck!

Alasdair

Traineo doesn't seem to default to today's date when logging in, entering diet or exercise info. I'll put calories in and find that I'm doing it for some random date in the past. Same with exercise. Makes it hard to keep track of what I'm doing accurately.

Thanks for your time...

Jason

Hey maxwell,

I have a general question. What graphing library do you use to render the calorie graphs? ive tried some opensource ones but none are as clean as traineo's graphs.

Hi there,

Our graphs are drawn by the GD library on the server side, and we use a variety of javascript and CSS tricks for the tooltips - we don't use any graphing library.

Thanks!

Maxwell

Hi there!

Problem: Could any of you guys - pleaseeeee! - delete all information that I input on 1st of Feb? I can't delete my weight there, and that has been annoying me a lot! I was not a member at that time, the input is a mistake.

Many many thanks!
Juliana.
