Awesome!
However , I got another problem now.
I logged into my account and it showed that I had put basketball into workout 1 for today...don't recall doing that ;P. Anyway, so I try to clear it out...and I kind of do, but it still says I burned 92 kcals...not sure how doing nothing burned 92 kcals ;P.
Thanks, guys, keep up the good work

I have noticed that the RSS feed for my page has been updated to be sorted by date. It really should be sorted from most recent to oldest however (so that RSS readers don't have to read all the way through to the last record before it gets to todays record). Is there any way to invert that sort?

Hi Aaron,
We haven't actually adjusted the user page RSS feeds yet - but that will be done hopefully by the end of today - we've been putting a lot of time into the nutrition elements of the site lately.
Thanks,
Maxwell

I want to get healthier but I also want to look good for my wedding in June 2007 - my dress alterations are supposed to start the day before my birthday, so I'd like to make my goal by then.
Since making small changes in my lifestyle I've lost 10lbs this year already - I'm ready to ramp up my efforts now.

Hi!
Thanks for the awesome site.
My little problem is that if I switch back to a previous day to record my diet/workouts for that day it does not switch back when I come back later. I always expect the day to default back to the current day after closing the browser so I quite often end up adding things to the wrong day and only realizing it after the fact.
Is there any way to have the calendar default back to the current day after closing the browser?

One of the reasons you got so many new members is that Peter Brown of the San Francisco Examiner profiled your website on his "Whats On The Web" section.
I tried clicking on the link to get a breakdown on the food I've eaten and calories, but what I eat isn't usually on their list.
Had about a half a cup of leftover Briyani Vegetarian Rice from Namm n' Curry and have no idea what was in it or if it's good for me, but I ate it anyways. (It was awfully spicy and salty, and the veggies were mushy).

Hi Joe,
We changed it for you. You can actually do it yourself in the 'About me' tab, with the 'change name and starting weight' widget.
Thanks!

OK guys, I got a couple of questions...
1/ Am I having a blond moment as I can't find the section to submit the food I am eating into a daily diary or is there not one on this site as yet and if so, are you planning on adding one soon?
2/ I would like to have the availability of adding "how many" Abdo Crunches I do for example, rather than the time it takes to do them...if that makes sense.
Apart from that, I am very impressed with this site and many thanx to the makers of it...
Cheers, Maz

I'm a typical stress eater, and I've been extremely stressed out for the past two years. Yeah, recipe for disaster! I can't say I look too bad, and the 22 fat kilos I want to lose to get back to my original weight do make me more curvaceous, but let's face it - it's just not who I am. To feel comfortable again, I definitely want to lose those extra kilos!
I'm mainly using Traineo to get some feedback, and to be able to keep track of my exercise. I only use the diet log sporadically, as the food itself isn't really my problem, but rather my notion of food as something that reduces stress.
|
# Posted: 18 Oct 2006 16:01
Yeah, a daily nutrition diary thing would definitely be helpful!
I'd also like a place to enter my personal goals, and my 'diet plan', so to speak. I could put it in my presentation, I guess, but it would be nice to have the mission statement somewhere readily accessible.
I also miss being able to enter reps and sets for weight training. (Plus 500 abdominal crunches sounds so much more impressive than 'Abdominal crunches: 10 minutes'...)
Thanks for a wonderful site!

Hi Maz, Chantal,
Sorry for not getting back to you both sooner.
Maz:
1/ This doesn't exist yet, but we're working on it
2/ You could use the 'custom logs' function for this - we are working on a slightly more specific (optional) interface for more detailed workout info, but at the moment the focus is predominantly 'calories burned' oriented.
Chantal - we're planning on adding a few more custom fields for your profile in the near future, so we'll post an update when this is done!
Thanks

@Maxwell-
As my charts reveal, I've gained a few pounds over the past few weeks. Consequently, I'd like to reset my goal weight.
When I tried to do so, though (resetting to 155), the "Invalid Weight!" message appeared.
How do users reset their goal weights?

You need to type in '155 lbs'.
Good point though - should make it guess your unit based upon your preferences. I'll go and do that now.
Thanks

Ok, it now automagically knows what you mean by '100' if you're on kg or lbs - if you're using stone, you'll need to enter a full weight still.
Thanks

I hope by having this page that it will hold me accountable and keep my focus on my health. I have Type II Diabetes but I am able to control it without medication by exercise and a low carb lifestyle. My weight was 303lbs. I also was diagnosed with Hypertension with a blood pressure of 190/94 with a heart rate of 92. I now have it down to 131/73 with a heart rate of 68. All by low carb, exercise and a lot of encouragement from family and friends.

I wasn't sure where to post this so it got posted in a couple of different subforums. I apologize and will try to research exactly where to post my questions and feedback next time. Is there any way in the future you might be able to add an option to include certain custom logs in our motivator reports. I have two custom logs: one for cycling mileage and the other for my blood glucose readings. I would love to include them in my motivator reports as I get asked all the time what my blood sugar is running and how much have I been riding. I know some people may not want to include certain custom logs so having the option to include certain ones would be cool. Thanks

Hi Ray,
I saw your other thread - sorry for not getting back to you, we've been really, really busy over here (really really really busy!).
We're working on letting you share your custom logs - firstly, we're aiming to let you put them on your page, and, although we hadn't really thought about it, I agree that being able to embed them in your email is a great idea - this is definitely something we can look into, although making sure the design always works could be tricky.
Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm a 42-year-old graphic designer / computer programmer / information architect / non-profit fundraiser / spiritual teacher / boardgame designer aspiring to become an ordained interfaith minister in the next couple of years in order to provide spiritual counseling.
I have a 20-year-old daughter who's brilliant, lovely, and stunningly creative. I'm currently single and dating, and I seem to be falling in love again, which is wonderful.
I've been overweight since I was 11 or 12, and have lost hundreds of pounds over the years. Two years ago I had an epiphany and at 326 pounds, my all-time high, began to take care of my body. Injuries from an auto accident delayed my continued weight loss until I managed to heal sufficiently in October of 2006. The difficulty still flares up regularly, limiting my exercise, but it's improving all the time, and I'm steadily losing weight nonetheless.
My biggest breakthrough was a couple of months ago when I realized that all of the childhood stuff that had been contributing to my body-image and eating troubles could be forgiven without need to accept or come to terms with them. Forgiveness is as basic as asking yourself if being unhappy about the situation or event is serving you now, and if not, accepting that it's no longer important and moving on.
I'm glad to have found Traineo, as the tools have helped keep me on track and the incredible people in the community have kept me inspired, informed, and ignited!

If I click on my own name in the forums, which links to fastlearner.traineo.com, I get a 404 error. Does my page really not exist, or is it that I can't see it myself?

So I guess I needed to make myself public.
A message indicated that the user in question doesn't have a public profile (or alternately not making their name a link) would be nicer.

I have two email addresses. I signed up with email1, then invited motivators who were not currently members. One of my motivators registered and listed me as a motivator, but sent the invite to my other email address email2. I clicked the link in the email. Now I can not update my email address from email1 to email2 in my profile! It says email is in use - but it is my email address that I want to use Please help!

Hi Chelsea -
Sorry about the issue you're experiencing - the reason is that we're not able to have an email tied to two traineo accounts. The quick solution is to login to your email2 account, delete the account and decline the motivator request.
Once you've shut the old account down you'll be able to switch the email address on the first account.
I hope this helps,
Alasdair

@Alasdair - Thanks, I was able to delete the account eventhough I thought it was odd that the email2 was blocked after just clicking on the link from the email (versus the email2 being blocked from use after the new account username and password was set up).
No matter - I am going to have her reinvite me to be a motivator.
Thanks to your quick reply! I appreciate it.

Once, clicked on My Workout, and entered data, wound up that I was entering stuff for the day before. Maybe it was an old session login or something.
Y'all gotta get the long date (Thursday November) displayed on those pages in the calendar navigation area, or as suggested elsewhere, be able to delete a day's workout/diet information.

Hey Guys,
As always, LOVE the program! A couple bugs:
I'm having trouble entering data/ changing dates too... It seems to get stuck on the day before...
There seems to be a new feature on my calorie slider where you can enter intake below the target as well. The problem is it doesn't give me a 10.0 unless I enter BELOW my target (i.e. my target of 1810 calories gives me a 9.9/9.8 and I have to go down to 1770 to get the 10.
Thanks so much! Now I wish you could develop a training program BETTER than Men's Health's Personal Trainer. Would much rather pay you guys for this than them--they're not responsive at all!
