I don't exactly get why there are two sliders... is the quality of diet there to account for things like "vegetables" or "enough protein"... or am I supposed to choose one or the other to use to mark my diet...

i.e. is the intention that we use the scales "together"... or choose one to use.... ?

Hi

The first slider is really for you to give a objective score to your daily diet - i.e. if you thought you had been really good and deservce a full score (NB: if you mouse over the green plus icons below it, it will show you how we rate the 4 different values)

The second slider allows for a more accurate guage of how you've done - if you know how many calories you've eaten, you can enter that and combined they'll give you your diet score

We will be enhancing the 'My Diet' page very soon to allow for a much more in depth nutrition planner

Hope that helps!

Hi Chris,
It's 5 months since your last answer, what's the latest on this?

I'm really interested in using traineo to track my calorie intake but am struggling to understand how to make the the 2 sliders work.

Looking forward to the new features

Cheers, Steve

Hmm ok this is my take on the sliders and I've just been using it for about a month. The top slider I use to judge my overall intake for the day, did I get in all the servings of fruits and veggies, did I limit my sodium intake, etc. The bottom is just straight calories. It's possible to eat just the amount of calories they suggest in a day but it could still be a crappy day, ie you ate only one meal and it was a Burger King value meal. Not sure if that makes sense or even if I understand it correctly.
