You can bet that if I am not actually at the gym I certainly am thinking about it.

Hi Dave,
I got a Nano from Santa to replace my old Rio MP3. Wow I gotta lot a music now!
I like rock mostly. But I have downloaded some disco and funk...mostly stuff with a strong beat.
Best of luck on your fitness quest!

I watch the Rocky films series and listen to "Eye of the Tiger". Most inspiring song and movies ever made!

I am 34 years old, married and a father of a 2.5 year old. They are the motivators for me to reach my goal. I started the new journey on 8/21/06 @307 lbs and as of June '08, I have lost around 108 lbs. I have been able to keep 100 lb weight loss since Sept. '07. What keeps me on track is the Traineo community, vision of a healthy and fit future and the mini-goals below. *GOAL 1 = 244 lbs, Date = 2/15/07 Date Met = 2/7/07 *GOAL 2 = 229 lbs, Date = 3/22/07 Date Met = 3/30/07 ________________________ *GOAL 3 = 199 lbs, Date = 6/30/08 Date Met = 6/5/08 *GOAL 4 = 185 lbs, Date = 09/30/08 Date Met = TBD (185 is my "ultimate" goal. Then build muscle.)
Hobbies/Interests: Baseball, White Sox, bowling, WII, Xbox 360, PSP, XM, Opie and Anthony radio show, Ron and Fez radio show, variety of music, working out, running.
Personal Records: 5K - 26:18 (4/14/08-8:29/mile pace) 10K- 54:56-9/16/07-(8:43/mile pace) 10 Mile Run - CXLD due to injury Marathon - 10/12/08
Advice: - Set a Deadline: "A goal is a dream with a deadline - Napolean Hill." - Set Mini Goals - They help you accomplish small milestones on your way to the "ultimate" goal. - Track your progress. - Plan everything out. Daily workout routines, meals, etc. - Be patient. Your goals will eventually be met, if you work hard.

I love all type of rock music, like ACDC, Metallica, Van Halen, etc.
Regarding Rocky music, I actually like some of the music from Rocky IV.

My weight has gone up and down repeatedly in the last few years. I managed to lose a lot of weight before getting married 2 years ago, but have since gained most of it back.
I hope to find new motivation on this site, and hopefully make some new friends. This time I want to lose weight and keep it off. I'm trying to not think of it as a diet, but as a change in lifestyle.

I just got a new shuffle for Christmas. It's great for working out, and I've got it loaded up with lots of rock - AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones...
I like my music loud and fast when I'm working out.

I am 29 years old and have grown passionate about fitness and health! Overall, I have lost and kept off a little over 40 pounds, and I have about 20 or so more that I would like to take off. This last year has been tough and distracting in many ways, and I am back to work now! I am revisiting Traineo, because this site and the people here were instrumental in helping me lose my original 40 pounds so I am back! I regret that because of time constraints I won't be able to be AS active in the forums as I used to, but I will certainly try to stay in there and reconnect with old friend as well as make new ones.
My fitness goals remain the same as before as I haven't achieved them yet: *GOAL 1 = 140 lbs Target Date = 7/31/08 Date Met = TBD CURRENT FITNESS GOALS: Run a 5K, improve flexibility enough to do the splits, be able to do 50 pushups in a row, be able to do a pull-up, learn to do a hand stand and then hand stand pushups. :)

I'm with you Brandon...loud and fast does it for me too.
The only exception to that is when I am taking a walk around the lake here in my hometown. Then, I usually go at night, and I like to turn on something more reflective. Music that is more acoustic. My walks are the time that I use as my "alone time" where I do a lot of my thinking.

I have worked since I was 14 years old and always kept busy. Now I've decided to be a stay at home daddy with my son Noah, which has been the best year OF MY LIFE. However, this has lead me to a tad lazy, to eat more, and the worst habit of laying on the coach and watching TV. To battle this I have joined a gym and kept myself as busy as my son allows. This means taking him to the Indy Zoo when it's warm, going to the Children's Museum, going to the park, walking the mall, etc. I want to be very old to see my boy grow, and to teach him what exercise has taught me: 1. Always push yourself 2. Never give up 3. Everyday you go to the gym you just bettered yourself 4. Trust in God, he will show you the way.

Hey Dave, welcome to the MP3 life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a pocket PC and I listen to both music and videos for certain task.
I hate do cardio and find that I need to watch a uplifting video to get me thru 20, 30, 50, 60 minutes of cardio. "Chris" would appreciate the videos, almost all of them are Rocky clips with music over them.
I then switch over to music to do my lifting. I tend to listen to semi heavy and Rap music.
