My weight goes up and down depending on how I'm feeling/motivated and I often give up or set myself ridiculous goals I can't stick to. I also suffer from the "I'll start tomorrow" syndrome. Would love to hear from other people in my situation for two-way motivation, or not, for that matter! (when that damn red cross goes from my photo box, you can see what i look like as well)

I'm just wondering, but how much does your weight usually go up during your period?
Mine goes up about 5lb, before falling lower than that after a week or so.
And does anyone find that when they exercise hard the pain goes, but comes back worse when you stop?

We had quite a discussion on periods here. It is totally normal to gain weight while on your period.

I'm the author of Why Your Last Diet Failed You and How This Book Won't Help You on Your Next One. It's the inspiring true story of one man as he loses seventeen thousand pounds in just one hundred and ninety-two months. Unfortunately, he gained it all back last Thanksgiving.
Yes, this book is my tale: the good, the bad, and the deep fat fried. The main story spans years of dieting ups and downs. From Slim-Fast plans to cheeseburger benders, I follow up every smashing success with an agonizing failure. Admittedly, this would be a truly painful read if the subject weren't tackled head on with sufficient doses of satire and humor. Along the journey are many topical tangents: I give irreverent reviews of popular diets, teach the reader how to start his or her own diet craze, clarify why Pop-Tarts are not "an excellent source of vitamins and minerals", tell the frightening tale of the Pancakes of Death, and explain how diet sodas bring all the broken pieces of my life together.
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll put it in your next garage sale.

I am pregnant for the 3rd time. Need to say more? The pounds are coming back on but once I deliver, I'll be right back on track!

I've had 5lb gains easy during my period. Usually it is about 3 to 4lb and is off rather quickly.

Ya, I've noticed sometimes a 10 pound gain at menstruation, can't wait for the big M to come and stop all that.
Oh, and my husband gets the monthly weight gain too Charlie.
