Seriously, it's ridiculous.
I typically only take Sundays off, M-F are easy since I'm already at work and Saturdays are nice because it tends to be low key and slow at the gym so I can do whatever the hell I want. It is important to schedule rest into your routine though, so taking off weekends is probably fine, assuming your M-Th workouts are hard enough that your body needs rest.
If you really want, you can do other active things on the weekends like going for a run outside or tennis or something.
