Currently following the stronglifts.com 5x5 plan. It's great, I love weightlifting. I wish I had discovered it years ago.

I was at the gym yesterday, changing into my workout gear and I glance over and notice this guy gelling his hair. Not out of the ordinary. As I wander out to lift he comes out behind and starts benching. It just seems odd to me that some people are so vain to have to make sure they're beautiful to work out.
Side note: There were a record number of guys working out in ball caps yesterday as well.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they haev to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is NOTHING.

Yeah, that is odd... baseball caps in the gym? I work out in a tux most days, Fridays is my casual day so I just go with a suit and tie.

Married mother of two. I work aprox. 55 hours a week as a pump mechanic for commercial and military airplanes. Been fighting with my weight for years, achieved my "goal weight" three years ago, and a very high fitness level...but I've let it all slide...it's amazing how fast it goes....I feel like lately I"ve been borderline toying with a binge eating disorder and it disturbs me!!! I also just recently started college classes again in attempts to get my nursing degree....sooooooooooooo, I know it's a EXCUSE...but it's so hard to find the time to exercise!!!! I need to get back to my yoga...that really had a way of calming me down..much like eating after a long day calms me down...

I'm a technologist by day with a soccer problem at night. Not too long ago I was an avid rock climber and a decent martial artist. It's time to get in-shape once again.

I hope to have a bikini body for this summer.
I was more fit when I was back in college. (which was 2 years ago)
I'm stuck in this cycle of the YO YO diet. I'll work out and eat right for six months then it all goes down hill for the rest of the year.
So one day I googled a fitness support group and came upon traineo. I'm glad I did!

In my school gym, sorority girls will always wear their sorority shirts and wear lots of make up. I decided to try the make up thing but it smudged so bad cuz I sweat and then I realized that maybe those girls aren't working out hard, so their make up looks perfect.

Boobs. Like you, when I work out I go HARD and end up soaked after--proudly so.
If any chick ever looked at me in any kinda "superior way" for sweating in a freakin' gym they'd be sure to think twice about such idiocy the next time as I wouldn't hesitate to give 'em the verbal smack down, (in a most hee-larious fashion of course), fitting.
The mall is that way froo-froo's.

I've had people comment on how hard I'm sweating or ask me why I'm "punishing myself so bad" in the gym and it honestly makes me chuckle.
I won't lie, I'm aware of my appearance most of the time (but nowhere near in a metrosexual way), even in the gym, but I don't primp before I sweat... I just try to have matching socks on

Maybe he was afraid that someone might disagree with the way he looked without gelled hair or baseball caps and post it on a forum.
Oh wait...

I am using the Zone way of eating (www.drsears.com) to attain my target and increase my wellness.
I'm losing weight for my health, energy, and for my friend's wedding so no one mistakes me for Ms. Piggy's sister.

Some gyms are meat markets, as one of my co-workers has so aptly stated. It's funny to see girls in full makeup lifting 5 lb weights 5 times before moving on to the next machine.
Back when I was in college I was doing 90 lbs on one of the thigh machines in order to get a good burn going. My "trainer" told me I shouldn't up my weights. WTF? I naturally have muscular thighs and that's how much weight I needed to get a workout - the sissy girls would set the machine to 15-20 lbs. Pansies. Hmph!

This is like gym class in high school.
The girls would "lift".
The guys would lift.
Funny stuff.

My gym certainly isn't (I work out at a "high-end" gym where most of the members only have memberships because their engineering companies pay for it... so yeah... no eye candy!) Maybe I need to start going to 24 again...
