dave's drunk.

Jim, where John had had "had," had had "had had;" "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

what is the number for the Golden Ratio? (to two decimal places) what is an example of the Golden Ratio in nature?

(speaking of favorite books, dave, anything involving the Golden Ratio, Golden Mean, Perfect Ratio, etc.)

1.618, or phi...

i'm not sure if I'm still drunk or not... .1618 might be my BAC...

I've heard of the golden ration but it's been a while. I can't remember.

Is that like the thing where the sole of your foot is the same length as the inside of your arm? It is something to do with proportions like that anyway...

I think the 1.618 thing that Dave said sounds right too...

yes those are correct. here are two examples, but i could go on forever:
1) the growth of a nautilus shell (eg a snail's shell). each ring is ~1.62x greater than the last.
2) the principles of music theory and the development of a major scale.

the generational growth of rabbits, the proportions of the human body, ...

this one i'm aware of, but not sure if that's 'in nature'... it's a pretty fascinating concept - the golden ratio...

what else would you call it? i would think frequencies are defined within natural order, just like any mathematical or scientific law. the frequencies are what allow/create harmonies, and frequencies that do not operate in harmony create dissonance.

I like to think history is my strong suit, but I'm a little foggy on the exact date for this.

Lol, boooooooo.
Every asks me where my other brother is. There should be a statute of limitations on a joke referring to show that happened oh so long ago.
