the flow of the riddle itself works just like this:

Q
1. a definite article
2. abbreviation for female sibling
put them together to get:
3. statement summarizing theme of an essay or study

A
1. the
2. sis
3. thesis

looks like you got "ent." it's at the beginning, just like "the" in the example above.

i'll give it like fifteen minutes. don't want the thread to be stale.

are you serious??? sweet...

The common phrase "What does not kill you makes you stronger" is actually misquoted. What is the actual quote, and who is the originator?

Ok, I cheated..... (spank me later please)

He actually says "...was ihn nicht umbringt, macht ihn stärker." (yup, I was right about "ecce homo")

"he" - not "me", not "us" not "you"

LOL, cheater, the more important difference is that he says 'destroy' and not 'kill'...

well done on the book, Spyke - with the extra point you can actually ask the next one

Goodie

Here's a hard one, unless you're... "different" like me

Who said:
"There are times, Catarina, when I find myself transfixed by a shadow on the wall, or the splashing of water on a stone. I stare at it, the hours pass. The world around me drops away, replaced by worlds being created and destroyed by my imagination."
And WHERE and TO WHOM did they say it?

It's almost a dead giveaway for us geeks

rofl

I'm just wondering if I've out-geeked everyone and nobody will guess it...?

But here's a hint - it's fiction. Kinda.

Confusing enough? lol

Leonardo da Vinci to Capt. Janeway - Star Trek: Voyager (and no, I didn't look it up...I'm a devoted Trekkie) don't recall WHERE, but since he was a hologram, would the holodeck suffice?
