Does any one else have this problem or should I check myself into a psych ward...
I am much smaller than I was in the summer, no doubt about that at all, but for some reason, my summer clothes STILL don't fit me... now how in the world does that make sense? They fit me fine when I was bigger, so why am I now, being smaller, still grunting to put them on?

http://anotherfatguy.wordpress.com/ I'm looking at a total weight loss of over 130 lbs (60 kg for those of you in Europe like me...), from 150 kg to 90 kg (330 lbs to 198 lbs). I'm a 36 year old man and am REALLY tired of... well being tired.
So far I've been training like a mofo, and have totally revisited my diet - so far so good, 1/3 of my goal HAS been met - YIPPEE!!
Have met some great people here, and looking forward to meeting even more here on traineo - don't be afraid to bombard me with motivation - I'll take all you can give me :)

When George came round my house once he ate all of the doughnuts out of the cupboard. He's proper messy as well and leaves a trail of destruction. He chucks my clothes on the floor, leaves the toothpaste lid off, never rinses the bath, leaves my smelly trainers out in the hall......
I wouldn't mind but when mygirlfriend comes home he sods off and leaves me to face the music!! You try describing a 2 ft fairy to a lass on her cycle with smoke coming out of her ears!! She thinks I'm just making excuses??

You have gained muslce around the areas where perhaps you didn't before. Besides that...are they stretchy jeans or anything? Those tend to shrink a lot in the dryer after time.

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

Ha ha, has Dave been a bit of a romancer in his spare time? That takes some explaining.
Reminds me of a past Birthday with the rugby team where my mates played some tricks on me when I was asleep and used a condom as one of their props. I was awoken by my girlfriend to explain why there was a condom at the foot of the bed with the wrapper on the floor. It was the first time I had seen it?? Luckily my mates explained the situation (to both of us) just before that vase came crashing down on my head. They had a good laugh first though and everything was ok again. Phew!!

I've always been bigger. Maybe not classified as being fat because I carry it pretty well. But, well, I'm fat. There's no fooling myself. In January, months of hard work paid off as my wife got pregnant with what will be our first child. I had been exercising a bit until that point, but I decided to ramp it up a notch and get my weight to where I can be healthy and be around a long time for my wife and kid.
I've been known to drop 40-50 pounds in 5 months or so on a few occasions, only to slowly gain that weight back over a couple years. This time is different. I know everybody says that and usually that statement doesn't come to fruit, but I've got that incentive...becoming a daddy.

Thanks! Now I feel much better about the fact that I only ever get face to face compliments from guys. I always thought that was a little weird, but I'll rest easy knowing there's worse out there.
As for shrinking clothes, it might be the dust mites. Crickets, moths, and such cause holes when they nibble clothing, but since dust mites are so small and numerous and nibble clothes all over instead of one spot they have the effect of shrinking it instead.
It's true! I saw it on Rocky and Bullwinkle once.
