This was just sent to me by my dear sister-in-law and I wanted to share it with you all here.

It's a very well-done presentation on the subject(s) of what we are DOING/what ARE we doing, and if it touches you, please do pass it on. Just 20 minutes of well spent time.

Clicky here.

peace, All,

Minu

I watched the whole thing. She has some good points, but is putting it a bit over the top in some areas. Overall, a good presentation though, like you said.

Nice to see you checked it out, Angie. It's clearly geared toward "Earth-noobs", and I agree that it could be toned down in some areas, but in the same breath, I'm all for ANYTHING that gets people to examine their Consumeritis, as most of us in the civilized world have it to some degree.

I really appreciate the recycling efforts we have at my workplace. All office paper is shredded and recycled - prototype parts are recycled, as well as aluminum cans and plastic soda bottles. Of course you can't recycle everything, but at least my workplace makes an effort!

Unfortunately, we don't have a trash recycling program in the county I live in, so I've yet to be able to contribute on the level I would like to! Of course I could haul my own recyclables to the nearest drop-off site, but I have no idea where one nearby could be, and the larger city I work in is about 40 miles away. Realistically I don't want to haul trash that far!

Can't watch the video at work, but I'm a fan of recycling too. In Huntsville, we had a city funded bin and truck to come pick up recyclables - like trash - every single house had a bin and the truck stopped by every house that put the bin out. It was super convenient. Unfortunately, they don't have a program like this in Birmingham.

Blocked at my work as well. I recycle regularly at home and work. There are paper, metal, and plastic recycling at work. I have curb site recycling pickup at home. There was also had a big electronics recycling event in the area. I got rid of at least 10 computers for free. My city has a cleanup day coming up next week. Time to clean out the basement!
