One of my dogs dug a hole under the fence and ran away
I haven't seen him since 2:00 this afternoon (it's now 11:30pm).

I asked people in my neighborhood to keep an eye out for him and walked around most of the afternoon calling his name... nothing.

He doesn't even have his tags on him cause they fell off (i found them). He is micro-chipped but that has no guarantees. I'm just so worried about him... he's not even a year old

You are in my thoughts and prayers!!!! I can't imagine the anguish of this! We have a dog ,too, that is truely a part of our family.

Do you have a picture you can post around? The micro-chipping may pay off I have heard amazing things about that!!! Please keep us posted.

Oh no! I feel for you, Stina...Keep looking, keep calling...I'd suggest even driving around the neighbourhood and calling out for him. Dogs can travel very far...Here's hoping he returns home soon!

Oh, Stina, what a heartwrench.

To echo Suesue, whip up some pic-posters and start plastering the neighborhood--and then some. Check all the local vets/animal shelters if you haven't already. If you have a community radio station, then call and ask if you might be able to get some air time. Use your computer to record a :15 or a :30 and see if they'd mind running it for you for free. Same thing for a local paper, if there's one there.

And don't forget to ask that big ole Universe to send him back to you.

Take care, ma belle. The lil guy's likely having a helluvan adventure/already a daddy, it's that time of year and that scent might be just what lured him out.

Is he fixed?

Again, sorry...

WE FOUND HIM!
I got the shelter to give me the number for animal control and the guy had JUST picked him up! He had been out allllll night! He's been drinking none stop and is really really tired, but he's home!! And yes, he is fixed! I didn't sleep a wink last night so I am going to nap with him.... good night!

Glad things worked out for you! I would be so afraid if my dogs got out someone would snatch them up for their own!! Thankfully that didn't happen to you!

Great news. Me and my dog are happy for you.

Some breeds of dogs are incrediblle burrowers they can dig under fenes no problem.

They do it once they will do it again.

Try to find out what your options are for etending some sort of barrier lower into the ground. In the mean time watch out.

My dog has doena lot of work already finding neighbors' escaped pooches. Sometimes the same one multiple times (one of his girlfriends I guess).

The moment he walked in the house he went for his water bowl and literally sucked it dry, I put more water in and almost sucked it dry again! Poor guy... he just lied around all quiet (trust me, NOT him at all) for a while but now he's back to normal.
