Hi, Rafael,
Well, for one thing, you're always gonna weigh least in the mornings, so get in that habit and be consistent.
As for being bad for one day, that won't undo everything, so just get back on the good-fuel-horse and move on.
And remember too, that the scale is but one tool in the fat-tracking arsenal.

After 2 years of crappy meds that bloated me up 70 pounds and mounds of stress... I am ready to go back to my slim self again! Plus, I want to look good in a bathing suit for my 3 year anniversary vacation in florida :-)

I agree with Miss Minu!
The scale is NOT my friend, no matter if I eat like a horse or fast for three days. I am so happy I take measurements every week, it makes me feel better AND shows me the truth of my weight-er fat loss!

Feel the fear and do it anyway!
This is the title of a great book by Susan Jeffers and it has become a bit of a motto in times of fear for me. I am scared of a lot of challenges that I face, but I know part of success is turning up. So as long as fear doesn't stop me from even showing up each time there is a challenge I'm already halfway there.
Besides, most fears are completely irrational and disperse when you face them. I'm scared of heights and earlier in the year I decided to jump off of the high diving board at the swimming pool. Afterwards I couldn't work out how I was scared of it? (But I was!)

http://anotherfatguy.wordpress.com/ I'm looking at a total weight loss of over 130 lbs (60 kg for those of you in Europe like me...), from 150 kg to 90 kg (330 lbs to 198 lbs). I'm a 36 year old man and am REALLY tired of... well being tired.
So far I've been training like a mofo, and have totally revisited my diet - so far so good, 1/3 of my goal HAS been met - YIPPEE!!
Have met some great people here, and looking forward to meeting even more here on traineo - don't be afraid to bombard me with motivation - I'll take all you can give me :)

I'm a fellow-female-wuss of heights too. I think it'd take nothing short of hypnotism to get me close to the edge of any ledge.
It's retarded really, as the thought of parasailing bothers me not at all, (well, perhaps over shark infested waters), but standing--that's a whole other ball game.
Back to the house-cleaning... Which also sometimes terrifies me!

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

I'm afraid of heights too, but I've done rock climbing, climbed outside 3rd floor windows to help build houses, and ridden crazy amusement park rides - there's no adrenaline rush like facing a fear and stomping on that sucker!!

Started going to the gym 2/2008. Doing mostly cardio / elliptical. I am shooting for looking drastically different by August for my wife's family reunion. My ultimate goal is to be 180 by the end of December.

I have no problem with heights but the only time I was terrified was in Las Vegas off the Stratosphere. There is a ride called the X-Scream that truly terrified me. You dangle about 800 feet above the ground feeling you are about to fall.

I swear the older I get the more the odds of my hoppin' on ANY of those things go down.
That's what youth is for, I reckon--you know for us non-thrill-seeking types, heheh...
