Oh, I absolutely adore tea!! I can still remember my first cup of Earl Grey as a child...mmmm! (My family was always big on tea.)
I love Earl Grey. Green tea & white tea from Stash are also favourites of mine. As well as Stash's Chai...I buy most of my tea from Stash. Standard Orange Pekoe is also delish...Jasmine tea is rather nice, especially if you get it in pearl form. To watch the "pearls" unfurl is so much fun! I drink a lot of Mate as well (south american "tea"), which tastes a bit like green tea, but "darker" (not sure how to describe it).
I buy lots of herbal varieties as well, but drink mostly mint based ones. Very good for an upset tummy! Most Celestial Seasonings teas are rather nice. The only herbal I can't drink is Chamomile. I went to an herbalist once that gave me a tea blend for feminine issues & he loaded it w/Chamomile to help the taste of the other herbs. Well, the stuff still got me sick & now I can't stomach the smell or taste of Chamomile tea.

I love tea... black, green, white, red, herbal, I drink it all!
I'm really fond of Upton Tea for various looseleaf teas. Great service! I also like Stash Teas and use those regularly as well.
I like the Stash Chai Green tea as a base for smoothies instead of water.

Murchie's Assam-Tippy Golden black tea. Good and STRONG! I go to Vancouver, BC at least yearly on business and always bring back a bunch of loose tea. All their teas are yummy!

Success is not a race, be patient. Success leads to success. Success is always a work in progress. Success doesn't come to you--you go to it. Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process. Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it. Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying. Hey Sher..
I am a big tea drinker (as well as coffee lol) my FAVES are chai and green tea...I like to brew my green tea with a vanilla bean in it, so basically, it is a vanilla green tea....or sometimes I will swap it for a slither of orange rind, giving it an orangey hint mmm....
I prefer loose leaf as opposed to tea bags..
I used to keep a food blog, haven't updated in agessssss ((maybe I need to update with some low fat recipes...hmmm theres an idea!!)) but heres the link to my recipe for Spicy Chai Latte if you are interested...

I have started running with my church's 5k fellowship. The goal is truly not a weight loss number or even with a huge deadline. The goal is to become fit and active-- possibly enough to even run a 5k. I have some great support with my husband and good friends who are also doing the running group! I thought this website would be a good way of keeping up with my progress, with some accountability.

I LOOOOVE tea, too. Yumm... especially when I have a good sweet friend to share it with. My mother-in-law is quite the tea guru. She gets hers from Harney and Sons. One of my favorites that she gets is Golden Monkey-- http://www.harney.com/goldenmonkey.html. I highly recommend it.

I am going to write down the names of all the teas you guys have suggested!
Samantha, i just checked your food blog and will take my time to read it...but some of the stuff looks so awesome..like the cupcakes ...and fried rice....ooh! We shouldnt be writing all this on traineo! lol
Sarah, i agree that tea is so much better when you have someone to share it with. I stayed with my best friends for 2 years when i was doing my masters in India and the highlights of our days were always the tea drinking moments and chatting nonstop.....Sigh!!!

I also agree that the social aspect of tea is one of its wonders Many of my favourite memories revolve around midnight tea (or espresso) sessions w/my grandmother. I'll have to look up some of the other teas mentioned in this thread, as well...they all sound so delish!!

I love to eat. Carbs is my weakness link that I always lose control in front of it.
I started running for fitness in 2007. Ever since I finished the 1st marathon (San Diego RnR 2007), I am addicted to running.
I started traineoing in Nov 2007. I have reached my goal weight in Jun 08 already. But, now, I don't care much about my weight. I care about it only if it affects my running performance.

Quoting: shery_1983 Oolong tea
4. A cup of warm Indian chai
Sher, I love Onlong and Indian Chai also. My belove is a Dragon Well. A unique tea from China West Lake region.
I like Indian Chai with soy milk (with or without sugar).
For Onlong, Dargon Well and all the other green tea, I like them hot without any sugar or cream. It smells and tastes wonderful just by itself.

http://anotherfatguy.wordpress.com/ I'm looking at a total weight loss of over 130 lbs (60 kg for those of you in Europe like me...), from 150 kg to 90 kg (330 lbs to 198 lbs). I'm a 36 year old man and am REALLY tired of... well being tired.
So far I've been training like a mofo, and have totally revisited my diet - so far so good, 1/3 of my goal HAS been met - YIPPEE!!
Have met some great people here, and looking forward to meeting even more here on traineo - don't be afraid to bombard me with motivation - I'll take all you can give me :)

I haven't freaked out on a lot of different or exotic teas yet - all I know is that the day I changed my lifestyle was the day I discovered green tea I was addicted!
Now it's all natural green tea from the health food store, either apple or strawberry (a nice aroma comes out of them, not some icky added flavour). I'm doing at least 1-1½ liters per day

England was built on a good cup of tea! Can't beat the stuff!
In fact I'm just chugging through a brew now. All I need is a custard cream and a bourbon to dunk and I'll be in heaven.

I'm a big fan of good ol' Earl Gray and Darjeeling tea. My new favorite is Yerba Mate I got a pound bag of loose tea lasted me about 7-8 months and I was brewing 1-2 gallons of yerba mate per week. Over the past few months i've been weening myself off of coffee, so I'm drinking tea like crazy.

I used to buy green tea at Adagio.com, but I found that the local Asian supermarket sold acceptable Ito En sencha. Once you get into drinking a lot of tea, the fancy shop habit can get pricey!
Mariage Frere is actually reasonably priced, compared to Ito En's NY flagship store, Adagio.com, and others. Maybe a little more, but I'm assuming the taste is worth it -- after all, Japan Airlines uses Mariage Frere! Take that, Ito En.
That said, I am very tempted to buy tea straight from this family-owned tea farm in Kyoto, Hibiki-an. Free international delivery if you order $38 worth! I used to order $50 from Adagio.com to get free shipping, so this sounds pretty good.

Wow, I didn't know that JAL used les Freres---cool.
Yes, they have some truly tongue-tickling teas that I only really got into over the last year, thanks to some tea-litist pals of ours that introduced us to the fine co.
If it weren't so close to bedtime, I'd brew up a pot of Bourbon, (a great decaf blend of theirs), but alas, I am lazy and waffling between being tea, (a super hot bath), and drinking some...

What's the closest kind of tea to Chinese restaurant tea? I believe it's green tea, but it tastes 200x better than any stuff I've made on my own. I go to Chinese places and just suck that stuff down.
Also, I'm addicted to the chai tea at Starbucks, but I just can't seem to get the same taste from homemade stuff. Any recipes or ideas? I have been getting stash green and black chai, but it just tastes different.

Oh, well I don't know much about chinese tea, haha, I just know about green tea, lol, maybe that's why green tea doesn't taste like chinese restaurant tea. I'll try Oolong.
