So I have lost about 20 lbs since the New Year.

My belly is almost completely flat, ass and thighs are still huge though.

I tried on some size 10 jeans today, since my 12s were getting baggy on me a couple of hours after putting them on. They fit!! Yay!

I am 187 lbs today, and I'm wearing 10s. That's crazy! I'm pretty darn sure that "on the way up" I was NOT fitting into 10s at this weight, which I suppose proves that I have indeed gained a few pounds of muscle since then.

Has anyone else noticed that you're fitting into clothes that you couldn't at the same weight prior to your diet/lifestyle change?

Angie, I'm curious as to whether your training has included much resistance/weight work since you started trimming? Your chart shows pretty much walking as the main exercise, but perhaps you've just not been logging other workouts...

As for the clothes deal, yes, I'm back in all the clothes I used to wear, (well the ones that are classic enough to stand the test of fashion-time at least), and now, some of those are even too big. LOVE IT, 'cause it means more shoppin', which I again now enjoy.

Minu, walking is my main exercise. At work, I do some things daily that could be considered light resistance training, such as carrying fairly heavy boxes, etc. (at least they get heavy after walking for a while, haha). The weight lifting, on my part, is very sporadic as I just don't really like doing it.

I keep my calorie intake pretty low as you can see, but I make sure that 30% of it is from protein. I follow the Zone diet, and both times that I've followed it religiously I've gained muscle. In fact, I think I'm gaining more muscle this time than the last. That defies logic to me. Last time I was lifting weights 3X per week! Perhaps back then I was working out too hard for my protein intake? Maybe if I had upped the protein intake (which would have upped my total calorie intake), I would have gained more muscle?

Of course I am only taking tape measurements, and we know how accurate that body fat calculation can be. However, all calculators agree that I have indeed gained anything from 5-9 lbs of muscle since the New Year.

I see, well chucking heavy boxes for a living'll definately show. I love jobs where people get paid to essentially work out.

Good onya, and offya.

Congrats!! It's such a great feeling!

I went to walmart today to get a new pair of athletic capris. I bought XL as I usually do, didnt bother trying them on because I knew my size, came home and they were too baggy! Hooray!

Yeah, it's a good thing I didn't throw away any of my too-small jeans, otherwise I would be shelling out some serious cash on clothes right now!

Oh to have a flat belly - I had a section and have a lovely little pooch that no amount of exercise ever seems to get rid of (may be surgery or lipo would of which I will have neither).

Angie I am jealous - I am just fitting back into my old size 10 (when I hit about 165) but I'm probably a size 8 on top.

Stina I know how you feel - I had to buy new fitness clothes last month cause ftiness clothes that is fallin' off at the gym just ain't cool! And I had to buy mediums - tops and bottoms!

Kathy, I think I read somewhere on this forum that your hips are smaller than mine - I must have stretched my 10s out, hahaha. You know how we don't like to move up to the next size? Yeah, I wore those 10s until I looked like stuffed sausage!! Luckily I didn't look like a sausage when I tried them on yesterday.
