Curious... where would be the proper place to do any sort of journaling on Traineo? Forums seem likely, but not quite. I could simply journal privately, but my thinking is to use it as some form of accountability.
Any suggestions? Ideas? Recommendations?
Many thanks in advance!

Success is not a race, be patient. Success leads to success. Success is always a work in progress. Success doesn't come to you--you go to it. Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process. Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it. Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying. Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED! If at first you don't succeed-try, try again

I have started two new blogs, one to follow my running and a Quest to a Marathon at blog.262quest.com and one to follow my weight loss at blog.2big.org, please check them out.
I am an IT professional / Developer which means I sit in front of a computer most of the day. This means very little exercise and plenty of time to eat.
I decided at the first of the year that I was going to lose weight. I started by changing my eating habits and started walking.
I did so for about a month and then added some weight lifting and started to run a little bit.
I have so far lost 29 lbs in just over 3 months and would like to lose just over another 50 lbs by the end of the year.
I have started running quite a bit more and am training to run the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th (10k)
I need all the encouragement I can get because to do this I am getting up every morning during the week at 4:30 to go running. With a wife and kids this is really the only time that I can consistently do what I need to do.
I am driven, but at times get a bit discouraged because I don't have anybody to work out with or run with.
All in All, I know I can do it, I just have to remember that when I don't do so well, it is in the past and what matters is going forward.

That is what I would suggest. I used to do it there before I set up a blog elsewhere.

I just completed my second Half Ironman and hit my target of Sub 6 hours. Currently training for a Half Marathon (everything in halves) and then a tougher Half Ironman in December. I am wasting a lot of energy on these races carrying excess fat around the course. I know I would be faster if I was lighter. I have lost about 20lbs in last two years but still have maybe another 10 that could go.

Thanks for all the replies!
I have other topic-specific blogs, but was looking to possibly do it within the realm of something like Traineo where the accountability would be greater. I'm already using the journaling capability within Calorie King, but again, the accountability associated with doing it publicly I thought might have a greater impact.
I'll kick it around a bit to see if I want to kick off "yet another blog" dedicated to this endeavor.
Thanks again for all the responses.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they haev to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is NOTHING.
(I freakin LOVED that ad campaign)

A lot of people leave comments on their own profiles as sort of a fitness blog; I just recently started that myself despite not having a ton of contacts on Traineo for the same reason as you; the visibility, accountability and association with the page made a lot of sense even though I mainly just write it for myself.

If you want the most accountability, start your own thread in the open forum. More people will see it and give you grief or encouragement. The personal page is good, but I tend to miss it too often when people post to their own page.
If they and I are contacts it tells me they posted to their page on my main login page, but if I don't log in for a while, or if a lot is going on it gets scrolled off the page before I see it. I kinda wish Traineo would do that a little different because I miss too much going on on peoples personal pages.
