So we all know each other through our fitness goals. What other dimensions do you have? What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies, or do you enjoy spending time with your family, etc?

I'll start. My hubby and I have two "project" cars: a 1992 Plymouth Laser (his) and a 1991 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo (mine) Both are turbo, all wheel drive vehicles and are a BLAST to drive and take to the track.

I also love to woodwork and sew. I'm a cheapskate. If I think I can make it myself cheaper than I can buy it, I'll make it. Picture frames, curtains, furniture, you name it. I've reupholstered my sofa and bought an old chair at Goodwill and reupholstered it to match because I couldn't stand to spend money on new furniture, hahaha.

I also love to read, especially Stephen King.

I don't have any children, but I guess I should start thinking about that soon as I will be 30 in August. My biological window is shrinking, unfortunately.

An artist! I used to love to draw as a kid/teenager and was pretty good, but I never got any formal training. I could always do pretty good line drawings (pencil / charcoal), but forget painting - I'd always mess up the colors and be disappointed in myself. Are you super critical of your work too? I could never be completely happy with my mine!

Anyhoo, I haven't done any drawing in years. It is pretty relaxing when I do it, but I'm so critical of myself it doesn't bring me a whole lot of joy. I would always draw for other people and not myself.

Hobbies ay,

I a music man myself, nothing is better than just hanging out with friends and watching a great live show.
Also playing myself, even though i probably sounds like im beating someone with my guitar rather than playing.

I use to play a fair bit of sport like Indoor Soccer or Indoor cricket, but my knee has never been back to 100% after i wrecked it :S

Big hockey fan here! I'm not a player though, just a viewer.

The gazillion yards of fabric and books in my basement would say I'm a quilter, but I haven't been doing it lately. Also on the crafty side, I make soap from scratch as well as bath bombs, lotion, and lip balms.

Reading is a true passion. I usually have at least two books going at one time.

I am trying to find some hobbies. For too many years my hobby and job has been computers. Now, I find myself getting burnt out. It is probably why I am so hooked on running, because I have no other hobbies. I have started saying no to almost everything computer related other than my job.

I think I am going through a mid-life crisis too..... is that a hobby

I suppose that depends, and if it is, your wife might not be too happy about it!

I performed with the marching band in college, and played concert Euphonium for 13 years. Haven't done it in a bit, though. Never bought my own horn.

I love to read, I love cooking, hiking in the summer, canoeing, traveling.

My husband is trying to teach me how to play tennis.

I spend a lot of time with my church doing different activities.

Football, Rugby, Soccer, Hockey okay just sports in general love to play and watch.

I want to start hiking soon and doing a lot more outdoor activities. Like Tim said my hobby for awhile was computers and now that I am forced to sit in front of one for 9 + hours a day I really don't like to come home and sit at one.

I used to do lots of different things, drawing, pottery, rock climbing, skiing, but I've really focussed on Mountain-biking this last two years and for myself and my family, it has become everything. We live, sleep and breathe biking. If we're not training on our bikes, or doing some physical activity in order to cross train for biking, we're on the internet forums about mountain biking and bikes.

I have to say, I would on the forums right now if my workplace allowed me to link to them, but they don't so you guys will have to put up with me instead! (Not that I don't like being here, of course)

I love to cook when I have time. I am a competitive mountain biker, I road bike for training also, ran my first 5k last year in 30 minutes (I never ran before last year). I also train Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu and MMA. I love getting outdoors in the summer and playing with my two daughters.

I need to find some new hobbies. Most of my hobbies don't involve much movement and I would like to change that.

I am thinking of joining a bowling league and to begin hiking this summer.

I'm a grad student so I'm not allowed time for hobbies. :P

I love to read but don't seem to have much time anymore - same goes for writing. I also love to climb and run. I've been back running for a few weeks now and went climbing again for the first time in ages yesterday.

If I had free time I'd love to do more stuff with video - filming/editing.

Lots of my so-called free time is spent hanging out with my friends, which usually involves going out for dinner/drinks. Which is what I'm blaming for being up 2 lbs today.

Hiking is such a good way to get more activity. It's active, you get outside in the fresh air and you can join groups and meet new people.

Hmm...hobbies? I love to read, sketch fashion, starting to learn to cook a bit for myself(and I must say, its preety delicious!). Am learning to sew a bit with a new machine I just got, love to be outside when its a pretty day, go out on the lake. Running of course-though I wouldn't say I love it. Yep, that about sums up my hobbies...

Also a reader, like trying new things and learning - snowboarding, asl, rock climbing this summer, learning to play the guitar, spending time with cool people... Right now I'm hoping to find a hobby that I really like, other than just training, and work on developing that.

I tried rock climbing once a couple of years ago - definitely not for me! There's something about being precariously perched on a 1/2" ledge, grasping at a 1/4" rock hold with one hand, 40' above the people holding a rope... and to continue either up or down you have to let something go!! Nope, not for me!

Dave, if you get into rock climbing, the Natural Bridge area in Kentucky has some of the best climbing in the states... so I've heard. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of climbs set up already. All you have to do is get someone to top rope it for all the others.

Did you know you can road race these cars in the Spec E30 class? One of my hubby's friends does it and says it's a blast.

It is an English K plate which I think is 91/92. She is Metallic Green. I think she is 150bhp which doesn't seem fast enough to turn into a racing car.

She does have a beautiful sound though, even though she has done nearly 190k miles. Just about run in nicely. She is quite lethargic until you get the revs high and then she comes to life. I think that is a sign of the old 24V engine. I call her Esmerelda. She's quite chuffed at the moment cos she had a good wash the weekend.

Needs some tlc for the summer though, but then she is over 15 years old.

It's a SPEC class, which means you can only do limited mods. The point is it gets very competitive since everyone's vehicles are nearly the same, and since BMWs handle nicely they're fun on the track.

Here is my friend's Spec car:

Oh great link Angie...it looks almost identical to mine except mine is a 1988 model...I cannot see any difference....mine is white too!

I am quite distraught at the moment because me hubby has had to use it for work until his car gets repaired at the shop...he was 4wding through a huge mud puddle and totally buggered the alternator
