Not much to say, I like playing video games and watching/playing sports. I work as a web developer for a small company.
I think when I get into shape I want to become a volunteer firefighter.

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

Funny that you mentioned that CK, I was just talking to a friend yesterday about how INCREDIBLE your progress has been in terms of how much you've learned and how active and motivated you are!! It's awesome to have seen this transformation, keep it up

When I joined I had already lost a bit of weight, but I did it eating crap (just less crap). Now I can tell I'm much fitter. I've learned to eat, to exercise, and, in a way, how to live my life. I love the people here.

I've been interested in losing weight and gaining muscle here at traineo since late 2007. Its not until mid 2008 that i've actually started my training routine 5 days a week. Trying to get to under 19% body fat.

I've been here for 5 months, but for around 2 or 3 of those months I wasnt here because of my broken finger - so couldnt work out.
But i'd say i've learnt alot too, the problem now is just remembering it all because i've taken in so much. And your right CK, Jennifer, Splint, Dave, have been awesome to me. And don't forget Dean and Minu! :P I know theres been more people who have helped me out, sorry if I cant remember your names, but I know everyone has on here
I Just wanted to say a big thanks to all those who have helped get me motivated and helped me understand the world of heath and fittness. I've still got a long while to go as I guess you could stay I am still in the beginning stages even after all the things i've learned - its just theres so much more to learn

And Dean...that's little Hercules, LOL. He's one of the best people on here.

Tim Wilson
I have started two new blogs, one to follow my running and a Quest to a Marathon at blog.262quest.com and one to follow my weight loss at blog.2big.org, please check them out.
I am an IT professional / Developer which means I sit in front of a computer most of the day. This means very little exercise and plenty of time to eat.
I decided at the first of the year that I was going to lose weight. I started by changing my eating habits and started walking.
I did so for about a month and then added some weight lifting and started to run a little bit.
I have so far lost 29 lbs in just over 3 months and would like to lose just over another 50 lbs by the end of the year.
I have started running quite a bit more and am training to run the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th (10k)
I need all the encouragement I can get because to do this I am getting up every morning during the week at 4:30 to go running. With a wife and kids this is really the only time that I can consistently do what I need to do.
I am driven, but at times get a bit discouraged because I don't have anybody to work out with or run with.
All in All, I know I can do it, I just have to remember that when I don't do so well, it is in the past and what matters is going forward.
A more up to date thread on me: http://www.traineo.com/14_2366_0.html

I have to agree, Traineo and the people here have helped me so much over the time I have been Hangin around. Some people that have helped a lot I am sorry to say have left, but there are some around here that still help me every day.... even if I don't read anything from them. They are just an inspiration and the fact that they are always willing to help is great!
Thanks all!
