JiFF - The soon to be 200 lb groom
I missed my goal to be the 200 pound groom. Life messed me up something huge, but I am back now.
I am back with a vengence. And hopefully a new Username (if the nice folks at Traineo can hook that up for me).
I am taking a new approach due to some new developments. Looks like i got me some of the "High Blood Pressure" and I really need to get back to it. I am going to be changing a lot of things, and going back to WHAT I KNOW WORKS.
Back to my regular routine.

My weight has gone up and down repeatedly in the last few years. I managed to lose a lot of weight before getting married 2 years ago, but have since gained most of it back.
I hope to find new motivation on this site, and hopefully make some new friends. This time I want to lose weight and keep it off. I'm trying to not think of it as a diet, but as a change in lifestyle.

I wasn't quite over 300 (I topped out at 271), but I think it's a fun idea.

I'm a 42-year-old graphic designer / computer programmer / information architect / non-profit fundraiser / spiritual teacher / boardgame designer aspiring to become an ordained interfaith minister in the next couple of years in order to provide spiritual counseling.
I have a 20-year-old daughter who's brilliant, lovely, and stunningly creative. I'm currently single and dating, and I seem to be falling in love again, which is wonderful.
I've been overweight since I was 11 or 12, and have lost hundreds of pounds over the years. Two years ago I had an epiphany and at 326 pounds, my all-time high, began to take care of my body. Injuries from an auto accident delayed my continued weight loss until I managed to heal sufficiently in October of 2006. The difficulty still flares up regularly, limiting my exercise, but it's improving all the time, and I'm steadily losing weight nonetheless.
My biggest breakthrough was a couple of months ago when I realized that all of the childhood stuff that had been contributing to my body-image and eating troubles could be forgiven without need to accept or come to terms with them. Forgiveness is as basic as asking yourself if being unhappy about the situation or event is serving you now, and if not, accepting that it's no longer important and moving on.
I'm glad to have found Traineo, as the tools have helped keep me on track and the incredible people in the community have kept me inspired, informed, and ignited!

My high was 326, but I've been below 300 for the last year-and-a-half. Started Traineo at 296, down to 271 now. Would be happy to be part of the group.

I am a contractor for a monolithic IT firm. This translates into a lot of time spent sitting. I have always been a big guy, but I am tired of being obese so I am going to utilize the power of community to hold my feet to the fire to stay active.

I'm in if wanted. I am not 300 now, but have been there and done that, so would be glad to pitch in and help motivate those of you who will soon be LESS than 300 lbs.
