What are good Running Shoes you guys recommend. I definitely ain't running again until I have a pair.

I'm 22 and I'm feeling pain from body parts I never knew I had. I ran on Tuesday for the first time. I didn't run with running shoes =*(

Julio,

I live in Southern California and buy my shoes at A Snails Pace http://www.runasnailspace.com/

Not only do they have a wide selection of shoes but they are all runners at the store. They watch you walk or run before you try on a pair of shoes to see how you run and what shoes to recommend. I have just started their beginner running program which is wonderful.

I'm in New Jersey, don't think any of them stores are by me.

Is there any website which caches Running Specialty Stores and locates ones around your area? via zipcode or address

Julio,
Is this your first time running in a long time (or ever)? If so, I recommend that you not only get a good pair of shoes, I prefer New Balance myself, but get yourself on a really good running progression program. I have counseled many people (as a PT) who have been a bit eager with their running and ended up with overuse injuries such as shin splints and patella femoral pain syndrome (knee pain). If you are interested in a running progression program a really great one can be found at http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml. Happy running!

The asics GT-2100 running shoes are some of the best I've ever owned and I highly recommend them.

Just make sure you get professional advice from a reputable running store.

Despite all the reviews available, buying running shoes is a very individual process depending on your running style and the shape of your feet.
